We've got four players now, which I think is a good group, so we'll get started. I will potentially admit a fifth if they get a RTJ in very quickly with a unique and excellent concept, otherwise I'll accept reserve submissions in case players drop out.

Everyone has a unique thread to track their characters as we develop them, and to track training later. I'll be posting the general play thread soon - feel free to post there right away, as character creation is going to be an ongoing and evolving process.

Fifth player sneaking in the door! Looking forward to this very much - longtime gamer, no GURPS experience, but this sounded too good to miss.

We actually ended up with a full six-pack. Should be a fun game.

In reply to Jonny Wilder (msg # 5):

Same here, I have way too many years of gaming experience, but only a minimal bit of knowledge on GURPS.

Asked it in my private thread but might be useful for all to ask again here:-

Have you picked an origin city/town we can refer to IC? Might be useful for writing our backgrounds too.

Everyone's sheets should be relatively current regarding our character building discussions. I'm good with letting people change their minds if you don't like how it's turning out, but let's avoid contradicting what's been established in play as much as possible. You should have points left over - some of these will go to skills from your life on earth, but others might go towards advantages you just didn't consider.

It'll be a while before your 125 points are used up, but remember - they're all going towards who you were on earth (including previously unknown magical talents, if any) - you cannot save them to use on new learned skills, spells, or anything of that sort. Only newly earned points will go towards those sorts of post-earth changes.

If we get to a point where you can't think of ways to spend points on earth skills and you have a bunch left over, we can just bump up your stats a little and say you were always that strong/fast/healthy etc.

All that being said, if you haven't posted in the Prelude thread yet you don't need to wait. You can just make your introductory post. Just wait until all six of you have posted before posting a second time.

To clarify, James - it's not that you were paralyzed and could suddenly move and speak again, it's more like after *days* of rest you gradually regained the ability to speak and move around a bit. You still feel fairly weak, and speaking takes a lot of effort.

The game is rated 'Mature', so yes Jonny is freaking out and swearing like a trooper, as I imagine any of us (me) would in this situation!

So Jonny is writing this off as a bad experience. Which means he's in for more shock.
