Thoughts on Pathfinder 2 playtest?

I am curious what other folks think of the pf2 playtest.

I already know it is not going to be a game I play regularly, as it is way not my style.

Funny idea of what they think an rpg is though. The term "roleplaying game" seems overused to me, and has lost any useful meaning, but the playtest's definition of an rpg sounds like a boardgame to me.

I like the improvement to alignmemt descriptions and the explicit talking about book formatting.

I think using perception for initiative is bad. I was in an accident once, and the other driver had noticed me before I noticed him, but he had froze and did not react while I did react despite seeing him late. So clearly, noticing someone is not a good thing for choosing who goes first.

Also, they describe perception as being alert, but being alert is an entirely separate issue from noticing important details. A fictional example would be the Naruto anime when Kakashi knew of an assassin's presence not because he was alert, but rather because he noticed a puddle and realized it was out of place as there had not been any rain and there wasn't any creeks or other explanations for it's presence.

Anyway, I'm still going through it, so these were just a couple oddities I noticed.
