questions about multiple groups for threads and unclosing

Hi, all,

1) How do I set a thread to be available in multiple groups?

2) How do I un-close a thread when it's force-closed by being made a Notice? (The Edit Thread option is available only for one thread, not others.)

3) Is there a simple way to sort threads other than by bumping them one at a time? (I think this was addressed in the FAQ, but not sure.)

1) Threads can only belong to a single group.

2) Open the thread and select the Edit Thread link in the header bar, then uncheck the "Close Thread (forced for archives)" box.

3) No, there's no way to sort threads, other than by bumping them.

As an addedum - players can be members of multiple groups, so you just have to make those players who need to see a particular thread members of the group that the thread is in.  EG  if player A is in groups 1 and 3 and player B is in groups 2 and 3 then both can see any thread in group 3.

Visitors can only see threads in group 0, right?

In reply to Youp (msg # 4):

Yes, I believe that is correct. A group that is not group 0 requires the DM to assign the players to those particular groups. If the game itself is "public access" (meaning you don't have to be added as a lurker) then anyone who clicks your game, even if they have not joined, will be able to see and read all Group 0 game threads.
