I need to ask some advice from DMs who have a LOT of RPoL experience, and I would prefer to receive the advice in private. In which forum can I ask such DMs to contact me privately?

The site does not have a forum which would allow that.  Basically, if you are asking for advice in a public forum, you have to be prepared to receive that advice in the same forum.

Could folks not just use rMail to contact you directly and then you can elaborate on what issues/ help you are needing? Or, you could ask around in Chat? Not the same as a forum, but would give the same result?

I guess I wasn't clear. I was asking about being contacted in rMail, not outside RPoL.

In fact, one helpful person did contact me through rMail, and I did receive the help I needed.

In reply to Kessa (msg # 4):

The problem is that he could not post anywhere to ask people to contact him by rMail - the rules of the forum where GMs can ask for advice say, very clearly, "Be ready to receive your feedback on this board.  Those asking for help on this board need to be willing to receive their feedback on this board."

Basically, if you want to use a public forum to get advice, you have to accept that other site users might be able to use the same advice.

I'm prepared to share my side of the private discussion if the rules require it. It's up to the other person to share theirs.

If you are messaging back and forth with someone over rMail (which is private-ish), that's a different matter than posting for help in GPIA (a specific public RPoL Forum for GM questions, that has it's own rules, i.e., where you would post it if you were allowed to post it anywhere on a public forum in RPoL).  That said, you can report someone through rMail to the Mods if there is an issue that needs their attention for abuse, etc. There's a little link in the top right of messages.

No, everything's fine, so there's nothing to report. Thanks.
