Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

Sima gladly bowed as his name was mentioned again like yesterday as he was made the proctor judge of the final battles too. These battles were different. Everybody in Kumogakure was watching, but more importantly the Five Great Kages were now watching every move, every jutsu used, and every single genin specifically. However there was an extra Daimyo up there from the Land of Snow. This was the most important factor because if he noticed how great these exams were, word would spread and the doors would be open more for more Daimyos to come observe in the future. Once the names were matched, battles began one-by-one. They were life or death battles and Sima had the power to call it off or allow it to continue as he saw fit. They were all escorted to the huge stadium within the center of Kumogakure. This is where the legendary shinobi started. "Will the contestants come forward please," he instructed and waited patiently and then began talking again. "As you were told, these are life or death matches. I will only intervene if it seems hopeless, one of you collapses and cannot get up, or the obvious, one of you dies. If you cherish your life, surrender or else the battle goes on," he explained. "There are no rules. Now, begin!" he finished and stepped back a couple of yards and enjoyed the show.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

((14:17, Today: Yamada Nori rolled 9 using 1d20. Initiative.))

When Nori heard her name called for her match, she inhaled a deep breath and exhaled a soft breath. This was it. She turned to look at Nanami and Sigmund, giving them both curt nods and small smiles. If something were to happen in this fight right now, she was grateful to have met them for what little time she knew them. She turned her head and made her way down to the middle of the arena. She could feel eyes watching her every move and it made her feel incredibly nervous. Nori turned her head and saw the Kage of their village sitting in the stands along with all the Kage's of other villages. Only...there was one other. He must have been from the Land of Snow. She turned her head back to look forward again. She sighed.

She made it to the middle of the arena and stopped some ways from her opponent. So this was Hagane Jhinsokyo. The fact that he was here now only proved that he had skill and that he was also going to give his all in this fight. Pride for their villages was on the line and she couldn't let the Kage of their village down. She didn't know how she was going to fare in this fight, but she knew that she was going to give it her best. She had to. She was going to prove that despite the outcome of the last fight, she deserved to be here. If she were to win this fight, Nori knew it would validate her skills and how hard she worked to get here.

Nori listened to the proctor and once he was done, she bowed towards Hagane with her hands at her sides. "Let's have a good fight, Hagane-san. Give me all that you got," she said.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

((12:56, Mon 28 Mar: Hagane Jhinsokyo rolled 7 using 1d20.  Initiative Hagane vs Yamada))

As Jhin came forward and attempted to size up his opponent he let out a breath that seemed to shudder his whole body. You won once already how hard could it be just fight smarter not harder.

He saw the girl and she wasn't like his last opponent, he almost wanted to smile at her
when she noted he had to try his best. Jhinsokyo liked that, he too liked to face challenges at the real odds.

As his Sensei finished the introductions and formalities he gave him a nod and looked toward his opponent trying to make sure he kept thinking of her as the enemy. "I would do you the honor of nothing worse than my best"

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

((20:46, Today: Yamada Nori rolled 27 using 1d20+12. Taijutsu Attack.))

Nori nodded. "Good because I also intend to give you all that I got," she said and when they were given the go ahead to begin the match, she pushed off her back foot and darted towards Hagane. She knew she had to play it smart this time when facing her new opponent. She had to strategize and study his moves to find weaknesses. She flash stepped over towards him and crouched down slightly, spinning around and aiming a low, roundhouse kick towards the other male. "Leaf Whirlwind!" she exclaimed. She wasn't sure if whether or not if it would hit him, but the move was more to see how fast he was at dodging close range attacks like this. Nori wasn't sure what Hagane was capable of just yet, so she knew she had to be careful. He could very well be good at close combat, too.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

02:52, Today: Hagane Jhinsokyo rolled 15 using 1d20+10.  Taijutsu Defence .

The sudden ferocity caught Jhin by surprise and he backpeddled the kick to no avail. As it took him in the chest the seals on his forearms began to glow and 2 chains spouted from seemingly nowhere that came to his aid lashing out at Yamada. "Trying to size me up eh?"

((00:28, Today: Yamada Nori rolled 14 using 1d20+10. Ninjutsu Defense.))

Nori was glad to see that her attack had worked and made contact with Hagane's chest, but it took her by surprise when she saw marks start to glow on his forearms. 'What the hell are those?' she thought silently. She wasn't sure exactly what she had done or if she somehow activated something by making contact with his chest, but she didn't like what could potentially come from doing it. It was then that, out of nowhere, she saw two chains come out of nowhere and aim in her direction. 'Damn. Not stupid chains again!' She could only hope that they wouldn't bind her arms or hands. She quickly brought them together and made a few quick hand seals. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" she called out and pulled her head back as she mustered up a good amount of chakra and expelled an orb of flame from his mouth before his chains took hold of her.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

GM note and interference:

Hagane, the difference in your taijutsu defense roll and her Leaf Whirlwind's attack roll was: 12.

That attack would have made you fall right on your ass because of the huge difference. You have been warned and if you keep choosing not to really describe an accurate post about what truly happened to you, I will put a stop to this match. This goes the same for you as well Nori.

If you notice a huge difference between attack rolls and defense rolls, you should very well know that it did do some damage to you.

If there isn't too much of a difference, per say like: 2 or 5, obviously it didn't do too much, but it still hit you.

Secondly: This chain jutsu you are attempting, is allowed as long as you are not binding her in some particular spot. It gives an unfair advantage and she most likely wouldn't be able to break out.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

OOC: I was just trying to get a post in and it being the first round i wasnt worried about realizing the difference to determine effectiveness just hit or miss, also the attack is just me swinging the chains at her no type of binding etc it is only the first round and in naruto fashion the first attacks aren't these huge crushing blows.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

13:01, Today: Hagane Jhinsokyo rolled 16 using 1d20+12. Ninjutsu Defence.

Jhin quickly withdrew his chains and began to whirl them around his body to shield himself from the flames. The heat was intense as the chains almost began to become red hot but as the flame subsided the tornado of fire and steel came to a halt. Sweat poured down his brow from the intense heat but it was hard to tell if he was actually in pain God I am sick of these fire jutsus. His forearms began to shimmer once more "Steel Release- Arsenal" Jhin exclaimed and launched his chain toward the ceiling. As he did it broke into smaller lengths each forming a kunai it seemed like only 2 then 4 then..12. "Attack Blade Manipulation". With the final hand seals complete the wind chakra flowed through and around his body, his white hair blowing in its power. With a single flick of his wrist the attack was unleashed 12 kunai rushed through the air toward Yamada.

Today: Hagane Jhinsokyo rolled 23 using 1d20+12. Ninjutsu Attack.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

((OOC: I will be sure to be as accurate as possible when it comes to describing what happens to me in my posts. I apologize if I made it seem like I wasn't.))

((12:31, Today: Yamada Nori rolled 27 using 1d20+10. Ninjutsu Defense.))

When Nori saw Hagane withdraw his chains instead of binding her with them to protect himself from her flames, a sense of relief washed over her. At least she wouldn't have to struggle to get out of them...yet. She would have to keep an eye out for when he actually used them. They just seemed to come out of nowhere before. It was then that one of his chains shot up towards the ceiling, causing her to tilt her head back and watch as that one chain broke off and turned into smaller ones before turning into kunai's that came flying down towards her. She wasn't about to be taken down so easily. Nori was able to dodge each of the twelve kunai's by quickly side stepping, flipping, or jumping out of the way before they could touch her.

When the last kunai hit the ground, she did a backflip and slid back on her feet. She couldn't hesitate. She had to attack. Nori pushed herself off the back of her right foot and darted towards him quickly before she appeared in front of Hagane. "Strong Fist!" she exclaimed before she curled her fingers into a tight fist and aimed it towards his jaw.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

19:24, Today: Hagane Jhinsokyo rolled 19 using 1d20+10.  Taijutsu Defence .

What....happened
That was the only thought Jhin had as he spiraled through the air. The punch had connected with his jaw and all he could see was red pouring into his eyes. That punch rocked his world and he didn't even see it coming. As he back crashed into the wall and he fell to his knees in a cloud of smoke, he felt his resolve strengthen. I got the range again he almost said out loud but was stopped by the coughing of blood. In fact at this point he could barely speak. He couldn't take another punch of that ferocity, this needed to end now, but this isn't how he wanted it.

"It was a strong battle Yamada Nori---" he paused as more blood fell from his face. "Your taijutsu is far to strong for me, so I have to end this now." His forearms lit up shining brighter than ever and the punch that had ravaged his genin suit revealed what was underneath. Two large burns like family crests had been branded into his arms and with each steel technique's power they burned brightly. "Steel Release - Chain Horizon". His arms burned so bright it nearly blinded him as the technique finished. Every kunai, every creation in the arena that been scattered by Yamada came to life. From each kunai a chain launched at Yamada and attempted to grab her from every conceivable side. "If this hits Yamada you must concede...please I don't want to quarter you. The chains will pull I cannot stop them Yamada they will rip you to pieces please don't force me. I cannot afford to lose. " There was an urgency in his voice that wasn't present before.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

((19:16, Today: Yamada Nori rolled 24 using 1d20+10. Ninjutsu Defense. Unsuccessful.))

Nori pulled her fist back and watched as her fist made contact with Hagane's jaw that sent him flying towards the wall, causing a cloud of smoke to arise from the dirt and into the air. She stood her ground, though, just in case he managed to get back up and attack her fast. When the smoke began to clear, she saw her opponent on his knees and cough up blood. She wasn't surprised that happened. The force of her punch was pretty strong. It always had been when she had used that Ninjutsu. She no doubt did some major damage to his jaw. When he actually started to speak to her, she was surprised that he could actually still talk. His voice wasn't too loud, but she could definitely still hear it. She actually admired the strength he had to keep going and give it all he got. He was strong, but she already knew that. It was then that she saw his Genin armor start to fall apart and reveal what looked like lit up crest marks on his arms. Nori didn't know what those were, but they didn't seem like good news.

Within a matter of seconds, those crest marks lit up brightly, causing her to shield her eyes with her hand before she heard something rattle from behind her. The kunai's were starting to shake and soon enough, chains emerged from them and headed in her direction. 'Damn. Not again,' she thought silently to herself. She made a few hands hands before she felt herself binded by the chains, making her grit her teeth in frustration and look back to Hagane. "Hagane-san, as much as I admire your strength and ambition to keep going, I, too, am not giving up. I have to keep going. For myself. For my team. And for my village. If you wish to beat me, I want you to give it your best and I will surely grant you the same courtesy in return," she told him as she stared into his eyes from afar. "If you must rip me to pieces, than rip me to pieces. However, I am not giving up without a fight. After all, that is what we were brought here to do, right? Let's give it our best...nee?" Nori said with a smirk. "Dynamic Entry!" In saying that, a clone of Nori appeared in front of Hagane and aimed a high kick towards his face.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

02:23, Tue 05 Apr: Hagane Jhinsokyo rolled 27 using 1d20+10.  Taijutsu Defence .

As the clone kicked towards Hagane he dodged swiftly the chains being independent of his physical body. It made a mighty strike and Hagane actually thought he was hit but his body after being in so much combat reacted in instinct.

"Cheap Trick" he said swinging a foot to the clone dispelling it. He began to focus his chakra the chains were slowing down and the pulling but he was certain he was hearing bones crack. He tried to reinforce it as it only had to last a bit longer before she hopefully conceded. "This is it Nori I know the pain you must be suffering I know even if you escape your bones must be in shambles just concede" With that last comment he took his hands and tried to yank the chains and speed the pulling process. I hope this doesn't over do my jutsu.

Final Match: Hagane VS Yamada

[Because Hagane has not logged in for awhile and is being removed from the game, Yamada wins by default.]

Hagane had unleashed a powerful jutsu, but with great power comes at a great price. Yamada had struggled, yanking at the chains as they tightened around her. The more they tightened, the more she could feel her bones beginning to fracture.

CRACK! went her leg. She screamed in agony and Hagane smirked.

Fujii, the proctor just watched in silence. He almost stepped in before Nori gave a glance that she did not want to be saved or have this fight interrupted.

That's when Hagane felt a sharp pain in his back and then was slammed into the ground with what felt like an incredibly hard double kick in the back and the chains released around Nori as she collapsed at the ground, Hagane losing focus on his jutsu.

Hagane too fell unto the ground, feeling blood seep through his clothing. "What the..." as he tried to get up.

Nori slowly got herself up, kneeling down and smirking at Hagane. "I may only be taijustu specialized, however I never run out of tricks," she managed to get through. "While you took out the first clone with my Dynamic Duo, you failed to miss the two other clones I summoned as you focused on your chains. Both equipped with taijutsu and my Dynamic Duo move, it was only a matter of time before they came through," she panted.

Hagane gritted his teeth in frustration as he realized he was badly injured from her taijutsu move and the kunai in his back. "Damnnit..." he uttered and he laid there, raising his arm as if surrendering to her.

Sima nodded his head as he stepped forward and addressed the crowd. "Hagane Jhinsokyo from the Land of Lightning is unable to continue due to injury and chakra exhaustion. The victor of this preliminary round is Yamada Nori of the Land of Fire!" he announced and the crowd applaud. A medic was called over to Nori and she was escorted to the infirmary for treatment for her fractured leg, which will become a problem upon going to her next match.
