Final Match: Akitoki VS Hikawa

Sima gladly bowed as his name was mentioned again like yesterday as he was made the proctor judge of the final battles too. These battles were different. Everybody in Kumogakure was watching, but more importantly the Five Great Kages were now watching every move, every jutsu used, and every single genin specifically. However there was an extra Daimyo up there from the Land of Snow. This was the most important factor because if he noticed how great these exams were, word would spread and the doors would be open more for more Daimyos to come observe in the future. Once the names were matched, battles began one-by-one. They were life or death battles and Sima had the power to call it off or allow it to continue as he saw fit. They were all escorted to the huge stadium within the center of Kumogakure. This is where the legendary shinobi started. "Will the contestants come forward please," he instructed and waited patiently and then began talking again. "As you were told, these are life or death matches. I will only intervene if it seems hopeless, one of you collapses and cannot get up, or the obvious, one of you dies. If you cherish your life, surrender or else the battle goes on," he explained. "There are no rules. Now, begin!" he finished and stepped back a couple of yards and enjoyed the show.

Final Match: Akitoki VS Hikawa

[Akitoki rolled 17 using 1d20; Initiative]

Sigmund had quickly bowed away from his teammates and wished them luck on their matches. His name was called and his opponent who appeared to be a young girl. He wasn't going to underestimate her though. He heard her conversation of eating people or her opponents when she spoke loudly of it earlier with a wind genin named Kurochi. She obviously some sort of demon eating cannibal and it was unfortunate he was the one who had to face her. He didn't care though. If her intention was to eat him towards the end, ending his life, then he wasn't going to hesitate to kill her either. Just because she was a girl, didn't mean he was going to give special treatment, especially to a demon child.

He made his way to the center of the arena. The crowd was loud and from the corner of his eye, he would see all six kages up in the VIP section of the stadium. His Hokage was up there and he was going to make him proud. He would make sure Naruto was impressed with his skills and technique. There was no going back now. Sigmund would not give up this fight. He'll win, he was sure of it.

He faced Chisame, looking straight into her eyes, not phased by her appearance or her obvious sharp teeth. "Just because you're a girl, doesn't mean I'm going easy on you. I will kill you if I have to," he stated. It wasn't a threat, but more a promise if he needed to come to those measures. She carried a sword, but it didn't look too deadly for the moment anyways. He would be able to ward that of for sure. Her other unknown techniques are what concerned him though.

When her name was called, Chisame said goodbye to her new friend and headed down to the arena floor.  Breathing in, she could still smell the blood from the previous match.  Yay!  I get to fight again!

"Hello!"  Chisame waved enthusiastically to her opponent.  He looked disappointingly boring after the four-eyed girl.  "Are you the guy who beat Kanzo?  Did he forget to sneak?  There sure are a lot of people here," she commented, looking around the arena.  The proctor said some stuff, but she wasn't really paying attention.

Sigmund paid no attention to this girl at his point. It was clear she was mainly dingy and inattentive to everything that was going on around her. How she managed to pass her last battle was beyond him, but he wasn't going to underestimate her and he sure as hell wasn't going to lose to her either. The proctor gave the okay to begin and he immediately back flipped away from her, creating more distance between them. He spread his feet apart and took a battle stance, holding out his arms and all his fingers pointed directly at her. "Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets!" he said as little, white bones began to peak out from his fingers. Hardened bones from his fingertips are shot at Chisame, with a spinning motion added to the skeletal bullets. A direct hit will excavate the skin, flesh, and bone. Sigmund had the intention to critically hurt Chisame however to get this battle over with as quickly as possible.

Seeing her opponent start moving, Chisame swept her broad-bladed sword free from its sheath on her back.  "Why are you.." her question was cut off as the other genin sent a spray of bone shards hurtling in her direction.  Covering her body with her sword-blade, Chisame was able to deflect some of the projectiles, but a couple got through, sending stabs of pain through her arm and side.  "Ow."  She grinned as the scent of her own blood filled the air.  "Ha!"  That was a lot more impressive than those silly little needles the last girl used.  Maybe I should cook him?

Breathing in, Chisame filled her lungs with chakra.  Fire Release - Great Fireball Technique!  Breathing out, Chisame expelled an orb of fire that streaked towards her opponent.

Final Match: Akitoki VS Hikawa

[Akitoki Sigmund rolled 29 using 1d20+11; Ninjutsu Defense]

His bullets hardly phased her in the slightest. She barely let out a small cry of "ow" and before he knew it, she was inhaling in, probably filling her lungs with chakra. Exactly two seconds after that, she exhaled and unleashed a powerful fire jutsu. Whoa, she's not playing either. he thought as he began to sign quickly and shouted,"Water Style: Raging Waves!" Then he inhaling, filling his own lungs with chakra and then exhaled, releasing a powerful water technique. It gushed out of his mouth like a waterfall and the two jutsus came into contact.

The two jutsus collided, making a sizzling sound as steam began to fill the entire arena. The crowd went crazy and a lot of commotion could be heard. Sigmund smirked. His defense was just as good as his offense. The steam was thick and there was no sign of it clearing up anytime soon. They had two powerful jutsus used and countered each other and with that, a field of hot steam was enough to give him an advantage.

He took a deep breath in and once he let it out, bones started popping out of his skin. The bones grown from his elbows, knees, and shoulders and palms of his hands. "Dance of the Willow!" he stated and rushed towards her. This was his chance to do some serious damage now. The hardened bones can puncture and damage the opponent's body when he gets going. This dance form is incredibly acrobatic, using spins, charges, and long sweeping slashes to make the strikes more effective and to evade opponents' counter strikes.

Chisame blinked as the arena filled with steam following her opponent's use of a water jutsu to counter her attack.  Guess I won't be needing my mist jutsu.  There was only one problem - her opponent wasn't bleeding yet, which made it harder to track him by scent.  The pain and the smell of her own blood presented other options, though.  If I let go, I should be able to smell the blood in his veins...

Then her opponent burst out of the steam, leaping and slashing at her with weird bone blades jutting from his body.  Chisame tried to fend off his attacks with her sword, but he was too agile, dodging around her defence and opening new wounds on her body.  "Eheh.  AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"  This was getting fun.  Lashing out with her own blade, Chisame tried to slow him down with a few wounds of his own.  At this rate, I might actually have to fight him for real!  He's much more fun than the last girl!

He had appeared to have caught her off guard because before she could begin blocking his attacks, he had managed to land small slices on her body. This pleased him significantly. Sigmund's dance proved to be successful as it continued as he felt his harden kekkei bones sliced and cut her, drawing her own blood even more. She had tried to hold off his close-combat strikes with her sword, but he managed to move passed them several times.

Unfortunately, none of her attacks seemed to land any when she tried to turn the tables on him. He blocked every one of her sword strikes successfully with his bones. He wanted to end this sooner because at this rate, he could actually kill her if he intended to. He continued his Dance of the Willow technique, trying to make his strikes more deadly. His intention was to stab her and cause a major injury at this time.

Kill.  As the other genin continued to evade her slashes, Chisame decided to try something crazy.  Her opponent seemed to be looking for an opening, so she decided to give him one.  Slashing with her sword, she left herself open to his strike.  As he lunged forward, she brought her sword around in an overhead strike.  As she did so, she channeled her chakra into the blade the way Miss Miyamoto had taught her, increasing its reach and cutting power - enough to cut straight through stone, let alone a human body.  Flying Swallow strike!

As she brought her sword down aiming to cut the boy in half, she felt his blade slam into her stomach and tasted her own blood.  If he was still moving after this, she didn't think she would be able to hold herself back any longer now that she'd tasted blood.  So much fun.  Kill!

[Akitoki Sigmund rolled 28 using 1d20+10; Taijutsu Defense]

He held on as long as he could as the steam began to get thinner and the crowd as able to see exactly where they were. Shocked faces could be seen from above once they realized Sigmund and Chisame were head-to-head in close combat. They were more on the edges of their seat as they noticed Sigmund had dealt a nasty stab in Chisame.

Sigmund had no intention to kill his opponent and had accidentally dealt a massive injury. At this point, she would bleed out if she continued any longer. A stab to the abdomen not only would cause her to bleed out, but any of her organs will have bleeding and may have been shredded from within.

Because he wasn't paying any attention, he hadn't realized Chisame had swung her sword right over her head and slammed it down at him. He retracted his bone from her stomach and somehow managed to hold off her sword. He used both of his arms and he was able to stop her swing at the last second. Her blade was so massive that she actually did hit his head, giving him a small knot on his head, but no damage taken.

He pushed her blade away by pushing it up just enough for him to back flip backwards and create distance between them again. He looked at the proctor, not sure if he should continue due to her massive injury or finish this off.

Final Match: Akitoki VS Hikawa

Fujii Sima, as the proctor, was actually enjoying this match up. It was one of the more interesting ones than the earlier ones and the preliminaries. He was impressed from both these genin. One was from Konoha and the other was from Kiri. For not having much attacks hit, the girl still stood up, wanting to kill. She had that look and it was dangerously alarming.

The other boy managed to hold off every strike and deal terrible blows so to his surprise, he noticed the boy managed to stab his opponent. He was on his feet, ready to stop the fight once the girl swung her sword over her head and aimed to practically slice her opponent in half.

Before he could even interfere, the young boy managed to actually block her swing and get away, but he sure did notice that her blade did manage to hit Sigmund's hair before he back flipped away from her. Sigmund looked at him and Sima knew exactly what it was for. He looked at Chisame, seeing as her condition was in critical state at this point.

"Chisame, do you wish to continue? This will be a complete life or death match. Your injury is massive. If you continue, you will bleed out before we can give you medical attention. This is your opportunity to give in. If not, you are giving your opponent permission to kill you. Speak up now or hold your tongue," he asked her. He wanted to be sure before he allowed the battle to continue any further. She would either die from Sigmund's hands, bleed out from her injury and die, or forfeit so her life could be saved.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  Heehee."  Chisame grinned.  "Looks like I'm gonna hafta fight you for real."  Breathing in deeply, she could smell blood.  Her own and older.  But more than that, she could smell the blood running through her opponent and the proctor and, fainter, further away, the mixed scents of hundreds of living spectators.  She felt the pain disappear as her sword became light in her hands.  Swinging her head from side to side, she tested the air, her pupils dilating.  Blood.  Two bodies.  One was smaller, closer and he smelt like prey.  Swinging her sword in one hand now, Chisame advanced towards her opponent.

Final Match: Akitoki VS Hikawa

Sigmund allowed the proctor to interrupt, believing his match was over with his victory because his competitor was bleeding out, however his opponent opted to have the match end. She agreed upon a life or death match between the two.

Sigmund had never thought over killing anybody or even someone his age for only such a title to be promoted. He looked at her in silence, debating as the proctor continued to talk and read the final rules of the match and announce to the crowd that the match was considered life or death now.

He wanted that title though. He wanted to surpass his teammates and make the Land of Fire proud. He thought this girl was simply crazy though.

she had pulled out her giant sword, preparing for the final moments of their battle.

Shortly after she agreed, she began to charge at him.

This was his moment. This was the moment he was waiting for to unleash his new jutsu for the first time.

He took a stance, crossing his arms across his chest in an "x" design, more bones crunched their way out of his skin, making the worst bone cracking sounds anyone heard around them.

"I will not enjoy killing you, but if I must, I will!" he announced as he prepared for her attack. He promised Nanami that he would surrender if he got in a situation like this, however he could not lose. He refused to just let this match go. He could not surrender the match knowing he won it fair and square. If this were to be the death of him, so be it.

"Dance of the Larch!" he shouted, activating his new jutsu. He would give it his all.

From the body, several bones pop out all at once. The stronger the opponent's physical attack, the more powerful the counter attack is, dealing severe damage. The sudden defense, combined with the needle-like bones high killing ability, makes way for a technique which has great potential for battle. The bones can be used to block or trap an opponent's taijutsu strikes. In addition to being an unwelcome surprise for opponents, it makes him basically untouchable at close range. If an opponent would start to get close to him, he would begin to spin rapidly slashing the foe in multiple areas. This would be the finisher for his opponent.

Finally.  It had been a while since she'd had an opportunity to release her Kekkei Genkai.  Chisame panted in anticipation as she advanced towards her prey, her tongue lolling out.  Her previously cheerful personality had been completely replaced by hunger.

As she lunged towards him, bone spines sprouted out of his body, lancing towards her.  Shielding her body with her arm, she barely even noticed the bones piercing her as she slashed through them with her chakra-sheathed blade.  As she swung, the chakra surrounding the blade extended, increasing its reach and slicing towards her opponent.

Sigmund had unleashed his power, in hopes it would stop his opponent from continuing on this death match. When he noticed his counter attack, merely stopped her, he knew he had to step up his game. His bones had continued to slice her up, making deep gashes on her skin, with her other injury still bleeding out, and these new injuries adding onto it, he knew she wouldn't last too much longer.

She had only extended her blade, trying to infuse it with her chakra and tried to manage to slice him. He grew a tad nervous because her blade seemed deadly and she had the intention to kill for blood. He noticed blood motivated her even more. It would only take one or two major hits from that blade and he would be done for. He couldn't allow that to happen.

As her attack failed, he paid attention on what he could do next. His newly form danced didn't do what he had hoped, so he knew he couldn't pull this dance off with this type of opponent. He began to harden his bones to ward off her attack, an ultimate fail on her part.

This whole match was one sided and he saw that and even the proctor had saw it. "I give you props for wanting to continue this match. Your strength is incredible, but you know, you will bleed out and lose. Give up now!" he told her as he applied force to her sword, veering it away from him, and he stepped make, wanting to make distance between them again.

His Dance of the Larch provided a great defense, but it being fairly new, he couldn't use it anymore. It was exhausting and took a great amount of chakra. Using his calcium from his bones, he retracted all his bones back into his body. He held his arms out, pointing all his fingers at her. He had the intention to kill her with this. I will finish you off.

"Ten-finger drilling bullets!" he shouted as bones of bullets launched from his finger tips. Using chakra, he manipulated the bullets to control their strength, their speed, power, and lethally. He aimed for vital parts of her body, to not only immobilize her, but to hopefully end her life the way she wanted it.

Chisame snarled as her attack failed to land.  Some small part of her mind was becoming frustrated by her inability to attack this person.  Her prey continued to talk, but his words were no longer registering.  Chisame was too far into the frenzy to think about much more than killing him.  Of course if her mind was in a more rational state, she would probably have trouble standing at this point, let alone fighting.  Her left arm no longer seemed to be working properly, but she seemed to be having no trouble swinging the large sword with just her right hand.

Her opponent's attacks drilled into her as she charged towards him, slowing her.  Gathering her strength, she lunged forwards, left arm dangling uselessly at her side, sweeping her blade towards his neck.

Sims had seen enough. Sigmund had taken this girls arm out, left her bleeding out, and she was still willing to go. She would die on her own. He could tell that she could barely even get the strength to continue fighting even though she swung that blade one more time. Chisame had made it towards her opponent, the blade touching Sigmund's throat, slicing the surface of the skin, however with Sima's interference, he prevented the young genin's demise.

In a flash, Sima had managed to appear in front of Sigmund, stopping the blade with his hands from doing any further damage. Two other shinobi appeared next to Chisame, one grabbing the hilt of her sword to stop the swing and the other had wrapped their arms around her.

Sima had looked at her in disbelief. "This match is over, Chisame. I as the proctor have the right to step in. I have seen enough bloodshed and death today from all you Genin. Your entire team has already been killed. I will not foolishly idle by and let you kill yourself too," he told her before addressing the crowd.

"In the death match between Chisame and Sigmund, the winner is Sigmund from the land of fire,"  he proclaimed to the crowd. The crowd applaud and cheered, and many amongst the crowd were cheering for Chisame, the blood driven girl who was dying in front of them.

"Get her back to the infirmary. She needs to be treated as soon as possible before she bless out," He commanded.

Sigmund was stunned on how fast the events turned and how quickly the proctor intervened, with two other ninja with him. He felt a small, sharp pain. Chisame's blade had managed to actually get him in the last seconds. the blade did slice through his skin, even his muscle in his neck. He felt the blood stream down his neck, passed his collar bone, and into his shirt. He merely winced, ignoring the pain for now.

The proctor and the two who accompanied him released the blade from his neck, lowering towards the ground.

sigmund was relieved that he had won, however feeling bad it was one-sided. But he did however, was honestly proud to have been Chisame's opponent. she gave it her all. She showed Sigmund what it takes to not give up and chase your dreams, even if it meant death.

he had exited the arena, taking himself to the infirmary to get himself patched up and hopefully get some healing on his body because he sure was exhausted.

Sima had disarmed Chisame, dropping her massive blade to the ground as the medical ninja made their way into the arena with a stretcher. the other two shinobi got Chisame onto the stretcher. At this point, she didn't fight back, she looked merely out of it. Her adrenaline rush probably subsided by then. She eventually fell unconscious as they tried to control her bleeding out on the stretcher before carrying her away to the infirmary, where she could get the proper medical care and could be monitored accordingly.
