Custom headers to put games under on the main menu

There are some games that I play in, and some that I just read.  I'd love to be able to put games in custom headers instead of all mixed together in one big clump.

Maybe "games I'm applying to", "games I'm casually following in case there's an opening later", "games I'm actually playing in" or something.  There could be a character limit -- I'm not that picky. :D

+1, this would be a big help, though I'm not sure how easy it would be.

You could limit it to 6 headers or something to keep space consumption down, then the table with their sticky list can just have an extra 1 byte column for header id, and a new table is just a list of headers and their ids.

No idea if that'd be too much though.

I would go with "Games You Play In"; "Games You Lurk"; "Games You Contacted the Gm"; "Games you Peruse".

Custom headers to put games under on the main menu

I know people have asked for a way to separate games they're in from games they're just watching before, and it's been pointed out that that would require the system to go in and check every game every time your list comes up...

"Doing it yourself," I'm not sure has come up before, though!

If this is reasonable, I think it could be awesome.  I'd probably sort mine by speed.  It would probably have to be something that you do in User Preferences, which might be a little bit inconvenient, but at least to me, seems better than trying to wedge a dropdown menu or something onto the main screen.

I like the sounds of this. It doesn't seem too complex to implement, and I can definitely see getting some use out of it.

+1 from me.

In reply to Utsukushi (msg # 4):

One of the advantages here, depending on how jase has it set up, is that it just adds a column to the player's sticky list and extra player data (and that only if the player uses it, which it could be disabled by default to save space), thus there is no need to enter each game for status.

All for a tool like this if it is not too much trouble to put in practice.

I'm on board with this. My list is a mosh of a bunch of titles I have selected for different reasons. It'd be great to be able to organize them in some meaningful way.

+1.  I was actually about to suggest this.  Put a dropdown box under "Your Game Preferences" and sort by something like Watching/Applying/Playing and there you go.  Make some extra headings on the main menu page and there you go.
