Prologue

You are an adventurer who has journeyed to the KEEP ON THE BORDERLANDS in search of fame and fortune.

Having established yourself at the Keep where you have met other adventurers (fellow player characters) and equipped  yourselves for forays against the wicked monsters who lurk in the wilds, you venture together when somewhere nearby amidst the dark forests and tangled fens, you reach a ravine where the walls rise rather steeply to either side to a height of about 100’ or so. The opening you stand in is about 200’ wide. The ravine runs at least 400’ west to where the western end rises in a steep slope. Here and there, at varying heights on all sides of the ravine, you can see the black mouths of cave-like openings in the rock walls. The sunlight is dim, the air dank, there is an oppressive feeling here - as if something evil is watching and waiting to pounce upon you.

You have now reached the CAVES OF CHAOS where your first adventure begins. . .

There are four entrances, one of which you will choose to go into.

If you make it to 4th-level you may then explore the wilderness outside the caves, leading to new adventure.

This game uses the Basic D&D game rules.

Seeking two new players to take over a 1st-level thief and a 1st-level dwarf.

About half of the Caves of Chaos have been explored. Players will reach second-level very soon.
