DCC Narrative Sandbox Campaign
The Duchy of Far Reach is a lesser populated region in the larger empire, situated to the North West, close to the Old Frontier. Originally centered around the town of Sapphire, the main export was the beautiful sapphires mined in the hills nearby.
After a massive star sapphire was discovered, the region experienced a massive rush of people, as prospectors from all over came to strike it rich.
Between territory tensions with the Bluepommel Dwarfs and the running dry of the sapphire mines, the town of Sapphire became little more than a trade village. Renamed Far Reach by imperial cartographers for its remote locale, it has dwindled into a backwater borderland.
The little villages and the capital of Far Reach itself produce a respectable amount of furs, timber, and stone to keep Terrance Joyce, Duke of Far Reach, reasonably comfortable.
You are a citizen of or immigrant to the Duchy. You are not satisfied with the hand that Fate has dealt you. And it looks like your stars just might be changing...

I am new to running games on RPol but I am interested in running a Dungeon Crawl Classics game that focuses on sandbox style game play. It will have a meta-narrative, but true to the AD&D roots of the system, it will be player-driven.
I am looking for 5 to 6 players who are willing to post several times per week, and while posting once per day is great, it is not mandatory. I have a family and I know that life can be a bit crazy at times.
Set in the densely forested Duchy of Far Reach, the characters are free-men living in a small hamlet. One day, a change in the stars gives them a chance to push beyond their destinies. Who will survive and become a hero whose name echos through myth and legend?
I will be using some official DCC adventures alongside homebrew material. If you have played something before, I don't mind. If you could let me know, I'd appreciate that.
