OWoD; Chicago 1920s Second Sins
Chicago, the housing market has exploded, most adults own their own home. Millions of people are active in the stock market and going as far as gaining credit and loans from banks in order to invest. Stocks are a status symbol for the young adults as are many new cultural changes.
The roaring 20s were certainly that thriving economic situations, Veterans march for benefits, women march to vote, morality groups march to prohibit Americans from 'sinning', and the younger generations are marching against their elders to break free from traditional practices which have been etched in stone for centuries.
The 1920s was a time for change and with that change came careless habits that had a powerful impact on the United States. Professional women in the workforce, Social morality being redifined, and the birth of Jazz, the Blues, and the Charleston.
Chicago is a bustling city with factory and luxury jobs. The night transforms into the home of deadly sins. Gangs fight each other to control the bootlegging industry while securing the city's officials and law enforcement.
Everyday people are in a battle of their own as the younger generation rips away from the traditional norms of the previous century. Fashion designs for both women and men become brighter in color. Women begin wearing outfits that test the very limits of morality. Women begin wearing make up, change to provocative hairstyles and are publicly active in a sexual revolution.
The night life has also changed with the introduction of alcohol prohibition and ethical societies seeking to remove all sin from public life. The new age begins with the birth of Jazz, the Blues, Speakeasies, and now prostitution has become a classier operation in sectors of the city. Massive amounts of money pass through law enforcement to look the other way while politicians receive free 'services' to block any legislation harmful to the industry. Segregation is equally practiced in the north and south though not as publicized.
Cars and motorcycles become faster and offer a status amongst their peers. A new practice has begun to use cars in a new fashion called 'Making Out' or 'Petting'.
Motorcycle clubs are just now being formed with the Indian Scout and Chief or Harley Davidson V twin models. Both genders participate, swimsuits are more revealing as it appears the younger generations seek to shock their elders.
6-8 Players will begin the game as Mortals. Out on your own for the first time and making their own choices without mom and dad looking over you.
Players will provide a NAME and three choices of what clan they would prefer in a PM to myself. Provide a background prior to character generation.
