The Blasted Lands is a desolate expanse of badlands, hills, and mountains turned to waste during one of the final climatic battles of the Wizard Wars centuries ago. At the end of the wars, one of the surviving great wizards build a fortress on a peak of one of the mountains, promising to restore the land to it's former bounty. It soon became apparent that the wizard had other, darker designs. The wizards fortress became a haven for monsters of all types that mounted raids upon nearby towns and cities. Then one day the fortress exploded in a blinding flash of light. Whether this was an act of retaliation by another wizard or a spell gone terribly wrong, no one knows. A few bands of adventurers sought to plunder the dungeons of the fortress but few returned. This was all long ago, but the rumors of the great treasures buried beneath the ruins of the fortress remain and serve as a powerful lure for fortune-seekers. You and your companions have traveled to the town of Dunnold which lies near the Blasted Lands intent on making your way to the ruins and seeing if those rumors are true.

This game will use the Tunnels and Trolls 5th edition rules with some house rules. A free PDF of an abbreviated version of the rules available at the Flying Buffalo storefront at DriveThruRPG. I will make use of some published as well as original material. My intent is that this will be a sandbox style game, although there will be a starting adventure to get things going. After that there will be plenty of directions for the party to go and explore if they choose. I’m looking for 4-6 players with a good distribution of character types. All characters will start at first level. Players of all gaming experience are welcome. Newcomers to T&T are encouraged to join.

Question: Are we allowed monster characters using the chart in chapter (I forget which chapter I think it was 2 or 3)? I don't like to play "normal" characters, since I'm a bit of a rebel
