Willing to run a fantasy game.

In this new job of mine I have plenty of time so I would like to start a new fantasy game but definitely want to try any non mainsteam system, something obscure or forfotten. The system must be available to free download and must be no more than 100 pages of rulebook. If a setting is included, the setting is our default setting. If you want to join let me know about your interest and propose your preferred system.

In reply to pacalpaz (msg # 1):

I might suggest either The Black Hack or The Petal Hack.

Well... The Black Hack isn't exactly free of charge, but what of the system that is free can be found at:  https://the-black-hack.jehaisleprintemps.net/

The Petal Hack is free, and the best lightweight rules system I've seen for playing in the Tekumel fantasy setting.  It is based on/is a hack of The Black Hack.

Whether or not I joined you would depend strongly on time commitments you would require.

Let me suggest Advanced Fighting Fantasy Quickstart: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/pr...src=hottest_filtered
It is a quick and simple d6 system, that originates to the classic Fighting Fantasy solo gamebooks and that leaves the door open to rules customization and adaptation to specific settings. The loveliest aspect is that you can create a new character, literally, in 5 minutes.
The only critical bits missing in the freely available Quickstart document are characters creation and, in part, magic. You can find them easily in the public threads of any AFF game currently on RPoL.

Well, besides the former posts, someone wrote me by the mail and so far I have three different proposals.

That's the danger in throwing things wide open:  you're likely to get all sorts of replies you didn't expect.  Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes not.

There are other free systems out there.  If you don't have enough to consider, we could always suggest some more. (blink, blink...)

Re: Willing to run a fantasy game.

Lady Blackbird is a good bet. Simple rules without being a retro-D20, fun premise, and it's been run on RPoL in the past.  The rules are quite short and take five to ten minutes to learn.  The action is fast.

You've got a point. Well I think I will have to find a system by myself and look for interested people. This did not work. Moderator please close the thread.
