Sprawl 1.0

The Sprawl is a game of mission-based action in a gritty neon-and-chrome
Cyberpunk future. You are the extended assets of vast multinational corporations,
operating in the criminal underground, and performing the tasks that those
multinationals can’t do -- or can’t be seen to do. You are deniable, professional and
-- ultimately -- disposable.

I've been wanting to do a Shadowrun game for awhile, but the system is overcomplex for a lot of people and offers a bunch of options out the gate. So Instead of using Shadowrun I found the Sprawl, which is a Cyberpunk game ran using the Apocalypse Engine, which is similar to the same engine that Dungeon World uses. If I can get a few people interested I would love to run a game using the system.

I've heard a lot about Apocalypse World and the various iterations on the rule set, but haven't had the opportunity to experience any of it first hand.

I thoroughly enjoy the cyberpunk genre so this sounds like it might be a fun way to dip my toe into that particular pool.

Is this going to be strictly cyberpunk, or were you going to try to add in the magic bits that make Shadowrun what it is? It's good either way, but it's not SR without elves and dragons and spellcasters.

I, too, would be interested in this.  I'm up for anything Cyberpunk, except Shadowrun, so if this will be run without Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Ogres, Dragons and magic, I'll add my hat into the arena.
[Just to say, I am not against mythical creatures and magic in a Cyberpunk setting, but as you said, Shadowrun just seems overly complex to me].

I seem to recall someone was either working on or had put out an Apocalypse World hack that was billed as Shadowrun, but powered by the apocalypse. I think it was called Sixth World or something like that? I don't remember a lot about it, quality-wise, but it might be worth a google search if your goal is specifically Shadowrun, as opposed to just general cyberpunk.

I'm probably interested either way, though.
