[IC - M&M 2nd ed] Freedom City Anti-Earth Game?
I know there's a large enough community of people who like Freedom City on this site (at least it seems there is) that I could possibly run an idea I've had for a while

A small group of players, playing a team of heroes in Freedom City's evil mirror-universe counterpart, Tyranny City. But instead of just doing the modern era as shown in the sourcebooks, going back to the other eras of Freedom City as well, fighting evil versions of the Atoms, the Liberty League, etc.

The player characters would be normally evil characters switched over to being the beleagured good guys of Tyranny City, constantly on the run from the oppressive regime and hiding from the murderous tyrant Praetor and his successors the Tyranny Syndicate (once the Iron Age is over)

Might allow a mix of canon "villains" and original characters or might go one or the other.

Thoughts?

Wow. That's a crazy idea. Good be lots of fun RP potential there, though have to watch out of the very real feeling of the entire world is out to get us, heh.

Sounds like an idea, one might really pull off. Usually, the heroes are portrayed as ones fighting for the system rather than against it, so a new angle would be refreshing.

Love the idea; though would prefer mainly at least original.

Same. The setting *has* really interesting elements, but even if the stock heroes were among those (they are largely not), I'd much prefer to juggle them through someone I built to interact with the setting in a fun way.

What about an insistence that submitted characters tie into the setting somehow?

I don't think that's a problem; though given it's not quite the same city I would be generous with loose ties. But certainly making it clear the character is from that setting is fine.

This does sound fun.  I'm fairly new with M&M, but if you're willing to put up with me learning, I'd love to play in this game if it ever happens.
