Would there be interested in a Saints Row-ish Fate CORE game with the following concessions:

• Saints Row 3 happened in "Real Life"
• Saints Row 4 and Gat Out of He er... that DLC where the Saints go visit Satan happened, but the events of the DLC are such that 4 and Agents of Mayhem were rewritten into TV shows.
• The events from games before Saints Row 3 happened, but only to the extent of detail that the respective characters' loyalty missions in Saints Row 4 entailed

When the events of 4 and Agents of Mayhem became TV shows per the DLC, a number of crews have defected, because they thought the commercialization of the gang took too much "street" out of them.

Someone outside the gang has started stirring up rumors about some of it being real. That, coupled with the fact that The Boss and their crew has gone missing spurred a group of Beatified/Venerated/Whatever (the players, who will be all Original Characters) to fly out to (some place... don't know, maybe San Fransisco or San Diego because they're S themed) to investigate.

I'm not sold on calling them "Canonized" because it is the equivalent of being sainted, and I still want to differentiate between full Saints and the lesser members that will be the players. Sadly though, I don't know what would be appropriate other than possibly Bishop or Deacon.

This is as much an interest check as "spitballing" to nail down some of the details like Saints rank structure (inasmuch as it affects what players are called, and how they can advance), where the players go to investigate their leaders' disappearances, and so on.

Beatification is the step before sainthood, if that helps your terminology.

Yeah, it helps some, and I edited the first post. I still think they should be given some catholic rank thematically though. There's also the clarification that this'll be a Fate CORE game I added to the first post.

...and being a Venerable is the step before Beatification, if I remember it right... it might be an option as well...

's possible, but difficult for me (personally) to disassociate from advanced age. I do actually prefer Venerated over Beatified though. Also I've heard about these terms applying mostly to dead folk, which would be very difficult for players to play. At least in a campaign where biological resurrection wasn't considered part of a retcon. I'm not just looking for any terms for people in consideration for canonization (at least not now) but also—and perhaps primarily—what they might have been called before such consideration.

There's also where the game takes place, and how interested people are.
