So, I know there are Fallout fans here and yet, not that many games. Having played the series since the first game, the innate humour and cooky attitude towards things just humours me. I am looking to run a game where the characters start out at a town. The semi-sandbox would mean that while they are free to explore or stay at home (they are from the town), there are bigger plotlines running in the background and it is up to the players, how to approach those.

To capture that Fallout feeling, I would be using the Fallout PnP rules that resemble the original games in many ways (the newer ones too, though perhaps slightly less).

There are a wide variety of PnP Fallout rules that make an attempt to mimic the SPECIAL system, most of them fall unfortunately short of the mark.

If you have found one that does a reasonable job I would be interested in giving it a shot.

Well, the 2.0 version is a reasonably working system. For most things, I prefer roleplaying over rollplaying, so the rules are mostly for combat and certain task resolutions, but other than that it would be semi-freeform.

Although my familiarity with the series doesn't go as far back as mediiic's does, I have played Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 4, and enjoyed them all.

I would be interested in such a game, although it would be with the caveat that I am not at all familiar with the rules.

Near the Wyoming-Nebraska-Colorado tri-state border, that is, east of the Rocky Mountains. If players have better ideas, we can adjust that, but I would prefer a somewhat clean slate storywise.

I've only played FNV, but I really enjoyed it. Would love to take a gander at what you might have planned.

FNV was the best in the series.

Well, with this turnout, I have set up the game. It is rated Adult due to the controversial themes of drug use, prostitution, slavery and all that Wasteland jazz, not because it is going to be a sex game.
