I have been tossing around the idea of starting a W20 game.  My story idea and setting lends itself to making some of the changing breeds potentially possible.  But I'm afraid if I opened up the can of worms that is the changing breeds, that I'd end up with a werewolf game comprised of a cat, a bear, a crow, a coyote, and a dinosaur.

I was curious how many people would be interested in playing a werewolf if the other breeds are possible, and how many would be interested in general.

  I don't see why it would inherently be a problem to have other breeds present as long as there's a plausible reason behind it: some areas of the setting are presented as working that way generally, and even in garou-dominated regions there are liable to be some mixed groups - certain totems explicitly encourage that.

I think you'll really have to figure out what type of game you're looking to run, and then craft things to see if you can make it work.

I've seen other games on here that have allowed specific non-garou in a set number due to wanting their presence for the story they were looking to tell

However if you open it up to anyone wanting to play anything I have no idea what sort of mixed bag you'll actually get, but I'd maybe say that's not the best approach unless you're looking to potentially have a more eclectic mix of pieces to try and put together and tell a story with.

Either way, I'm a fan of W20 and would certainly at least take a look regardless of what direction you decide to go in.

Yeah, I know how to make it work with changing breeds, just don't know if I should.  I'd prefer a pack of werewolves before any other breeds were included.

I guess if I do allow any non wolves, I'll limit them.

I could be convinced.
Haven't played much garou or fera, so it could be interesting.
