Zelda: BOTW

Greetings everyone! I would like to create a Zelda game in the BOTW settings, well, more like several years either after Ganon have taken over Hyrule or before Links awakens once again.

The problem lies in what system should be used, I want to be a player to and other small issues. So if there is someone out there who would like a game together or have similar ideas, please give me a call.

I was entertaining the idea myself. I'm running as many games as I can at the moment, but I'm wondering as well what system would fit the setting better.

A level-based system, maybe? Probably fitting D&D 5e would be easy enough, just skipping on the magic classes. Or something more OSR-oriented?

I never tried it, but for the little I read about it, I think this one may fit the bill: http://kotohi.com/ryuutama/

If you want to run the game, you should first think about which systems do you feel comfortable with.

Zelda: BOTW

Honestly, I've been considering running a Zelda game myself, again. I haven't played Breath of the Wild yet, so my intended setting was going to be post-Zelda II, instead. The goal was going to be reintroducing the old kingdom of Lesser Hyrule from the original LoZ game, giving players an open sandbox with a concrete mission, community management options, dungeons to explore, and people to interact with. The only hangup thusfar has been the system.

I've got much of it written in Fate Accelerated, using the Masters of Umdaar rules as a base to work from. It doesn't quite feel right to me, though, after playing a few years of Fate under different settings. Then I came across a customized Legend of Zelda game system from 1d4chan, which looks like it's pretty good and well thought out, though would leave me unfamiliar with it.

Would you be interested in a Legend of Zelda game that isn't quite Breath of the Wild based, but in the same universe?

If you wanted a pure Zelda experience, 4chan did come up with a Zelda RPG which has hearts as health. While I haven't really played with it much, it might be a good fit. (Plus, it allows you to play as more than a Hylian!)

I'd be interested in the BTOW setting, since it's a setting where the journey is as important as the destination.

There was also a Fate game that used a shared video game world as the setting. It might work also. Can't remember right now but will look it up.

It's called: Save Game.
