"I think there maybe something down here." She turns and steels herself for what every may be in the room with her. Holding her hammer she readies herself for any charge.

"We have fifty feet or line. I hope that is long enough!" said Boris as he dropped the carefully wrapped rope down. It was wrapped so that it would unspool as it dropped.

In reply to Ondrea Avalor (msg # 208):

Larz took the robe and tied it around his waist trusting that his mass would be enough of an anchor, then dropped the other end down to his friend.

"Quick, grab on to the rope, I'll haul you up!" Larzander called out to Ondrea.

"Boris, If I get pulled over the edge let me go. No sense in both of us being hurt." the barbarian warned.

In reply to Larzander Gunderzen (msg # 210):

Stoney is there too, and tries to grab onto any part of the big man's clothing, to help anchor him, too.

"Ok, I'll hold on to you, too.  We have the rope, explore, and if you need help, rush on up!
Or if it will help, we can push Boris down to help.  Ha Ha right Boris?"

The rope effortlessly works down the small tunnel and hits the floor next to Ondrea with a slight *THUD* that rattles several gold chalices nearby.

Realising her best bet was retreat Ondrea grabs the rope and  yells "PULL ME UP, UP" She lopped the end of the rope around foot and held the two pieces together so she had an arm free for her weapon.

Re: The Northern Passage

Bracing yourselves as best you can in the circular room, you begin heaving frantically on the rope.  The tension is almost immediate and you are forced to lean back just to create enough inertia to begin pulling Ondrea upwards.  Inch by inch, hand over hand, the rope slowly begins to emerge from the darkness.  Suddenly, a loud roar of clanking metal rises from the depths and the three of you are nearly pulled down as well as some unseen force has appeared somewhere below.

Grabbing his side, and wounds.

"I am in no shape to help her alone, but if I have to!"

Moving to the edge, and acting like he is going to go down, or seeing if there is a way down.

Boris gathered up the loose rope and looked for a place to tie off.

"I think the best we can do is find some place close to anchor this rope."

Re: The Northern Passage

Stoney and Boris struggle to hold the weight of Ondrea as Larz starts to work his way down.  Unfortunately, the stone passageway was designed to both cause less friction and give no hand holds.  With that, Larz loses both his feet, slamming down hard onto the stone ramp and begins to roll, head over heels down into the darkness.  Gaining momentum as he rolls, he explodes into the chamber.  Clipping Ondrea as he falls, he crashes into the pile of treasure and the roar of banging metal reverberates in everyone's ears.

Larz: I'm assuming you didn't bring a lit torch or any sort of light source?

Boris:  Depending on what you do, I will need some more rolls...
If you're just holding the rope and not trying to fight against it, I'll just need a DEX check.
If you're actively resisting any weight or resistance the rope encounters, I'll need a STR check

Re: The Northern Passage

Try as he might, Stoney is unable to keep his grip upon the large warrior but manages to keep himself from falling down after him.  Lucky for him, Boris had gotten the rope attached to an anchor point before Larz slipped down.  Then you notice the tension on the rope has completely dissipated.

Tugging the rope a couple times, like fishing to see if anything grabs it.

"I really dont want to go down there, but staying up here isnt much better.  what do you say?"

Taking a long drink.

"Er, um, ok. your logic does make sense, but you are also a healer. One who is more in tune with their God, the Christ as you call him.  I'll stay up, and you go down.  I feel I might have used all my favors for a little while."

"Accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior will heal your soul, not your body. It is only a priest or Templar who may do that."

Boris tied Stoney off, then without warning gave him a shove backwards into the pit.

"You'll manage. If not, say "hi" to Pelor for me!"

OOC: Ha ha! I can roll to-hit or make a DEX check, if you are really set on Stoney going down without a fight!
