In reply to Stoney Applesmith (msg # 183):

Boris rubbed the sore areas where the talons had dug into his flesh. "My! That was unpleasant. Thanks be to God we all survived! I am not too badly hurt, praise the Lord."

He followed Larz to the door, sling at the ready. "I can cover Larz from here."

"Perhaps, but lets make sure." She continues the search to make sure they are alone and the room is clear of the undead.

Slowly digging through the golden hoard with boot and blade, you find no further signs of life (or unlife) in the room.

Larzander looked over his shoulder at his friends. "That's it?" he said in unbelief. " It just seems a bit too easy to me, We could all retire with what's laying here.."

Ondrea began to search the hoard for something that maybe able to help Stoney, potion or the like. "Perhaps it has been here for so long the other guardians have perished."

In reply to Ondrea Avalor (msg # 188):

From the doorway, Boris studied the loot laying about them.

"I am a Christian and thus love poverty like our Lord, Jesus Christ. However, this gold can help many people in dire need!" He left it to the imagination of others whether that included himself.

From outside the room, Boris kept a watch on the corridor. He intended to come in to gather some treasure on;y once he was sure it was safe. "Once you lot are done filling your pockets, I would like to look for some gems."

A sudden groan fills the chamber and the sound of stone against stone begins to reverberate beneath your feet...

I'll need a Dex check from everyone in the room

Re: The Northern Passage

A sudden rush of air pulls downward at Larz and Ondrea.  Below their feet, the hoard begins to spill like a waterfall as the floor opens wide.  A cacophonous roar fills the chamber as the coveted pile of gold begins slipping downward like a sparkling stream of shining water.  Both Larz and Ondrea dive for whatever they can grasp with only Larz being successful in grasping the doorway before nothing remained beneath his feet...Ondrea is not so lucky.

Ondrea stays still while she surveys the room that is is now spreadeagled in. She listens as well for movement trying to single anything out over the last of the coins and treasure hitting the floor.

seeing if there is anything he can do, he tries to help Boris and held him tightly so he didn't also go into the trap.

While Larz is certainly a heavy load to bare, you manage to help him pull out of the hole and back into the hallway with you.

"Thanks for the help!" Larz exclaimed, as he was regaining his footing. "That was too close." The barbarian then poked his head back in the room hoping Ondrea was okay.

"Ondrea! You okay?" he called, looking down to see if he could see his friend..

In reply to Ondrea Avalor (msg # 204):

"Yes, Ondrea! We do have some rope. Wait a moment."

Boris began rummaging around in his backpack.

"Stoney, if you watch our backs I have some rope. We can lift Ondrea out of there. I don't have pitons, we need to anchor it somehow or tie off on Larz."

He pulled out a tightly coiled silk rope. "Ah! Just the thing. Very light, and strong."

Re: The Northern Passage

With no mooring point nor bolts to drive into the stone, you are forced to use your own bodies as anchors as you lower the rope into the darkness...hopefully it is long enough.
