I've just noticed that if I have two names in a game, say one of them is my GM name and the other is one of my NPCs, it always asks me who I want to post as.

Is there a way one of these names can be the default name?

Go to the GM Menu, then to Players, select yourself, and then at the bottom is an option called "Re-Order".

There, you can choose a primary name.  Not sure if you can choose something besides your GM name as a primary name, however.

Yes, you can choose the name other than your GM name as the primary.  However, if you do so, you will lose GM access to your own game, so don't do it.

lol. How often do you need to fix that particular problem?

Not too often.  It gets attention, and people wig out for a few days and get panicky, so it doesn't happen too often. ^^;;

So, to answer my original question, no, I have to keep clicking on the drop down menu and selecting which I want to post as.

koesherbacon, just a note, something I found out yesterday.

If you have more than one GM name, and you are rolling on behalf of someone, only the primary GM may do so.

I believe you should be able to (from within the game) click on Game Preferences from your main game screen. You should see


Your Game Preferences
Game Option ON OFF
By default, post as your primary character

Only with neater formatting. Select ON and you should default to your GM name unless you chose otherwise.
