Hello,

I play in the game (game name removed).  I recently saved my character sheet to keep track of a running use of resources, but afterwards noticed that most of my character is for some reason cut off and missing.  Is there anyway to get it back?

I've never seen this happen before and of course I don't have a backup.  :(

One thing I would suggest checking is whether you can still see it when you go to edit.

If so, then you will need to find the special characters ('"` etc) that is causing the display problem and remove them.  Then it should show up again.

If the content is not visible when you edit it, then I'm afraid that it is most likely gone unless your browser still has the info cached or you have an add-on to your browser like Lazarus that saves drafts of fields for recovery.

I tried backing in the browser but it was gone.  There were no special characters I was aware of.  I only used tabs and the "pre" tag to make things look nice and line up.  It would seem I'm up a creek with no paddle.  :(

No.  It looks like when rpol tried to get the character it glitched.  It got the first viewable portion which I then edited.  But I didn't notice the rest was gone before I saved it.

In any event I found a very old copy of the character and along with my memory I have it at least 95% recovered.  So I'm all set.

And for the future I now have full backups.  :)
