Trudging out of the catacombs was a journey in and of itself. Adding to it was the occasional ramblings from Tsuto about how his "angel" would come to rescue him. Eventually the group emerged to find that it had been several hours since they had descended. Given the ache in their legs it seemed the tunnels were more extensive than they had realized. It was now mid-afternoon and the lunch crowd was starting to thin at the Rusty Dragon.

"Your supposed angel is no angel. She is a devil and will be dealt with, just as you were." Arialis said coldly.

"Let's find Ameiko." Tristen lead the way into the Rusty Dragon. He knew that they would find the sheriff but he wanted to get some answers first. He couldn't imagine why Tsuto did what he did. He stopped and check with his companions, "Or should we find Sheriff Hemlock first?"

"The Sheriff first, so we can get rid of this one. Then Ameiko." She said with a firm nod.

"Alright. Sheriff first."

Tristen walked next to Tsuto, "Any last words before we turn you to the authorities?"

The group searches for the Sheriff but quickly recall that Sheriff Hemlock is out of town, riding to Magnimar in order to request reinforcements. Tsuto could be turned over to the guard. With the Sheriff out of town, Vorn is likely holding down the local law.

The group could also try and find Shalelu for her input (assuming she hasn't left town to go range in the forests for more goblin raiders).

Finally the group could proceed into the Rusty Dragon with Tsuto in tow and let Ameiko weigh in on what should be done with her traitorous murderous brother.

We'll take him to the guard. I have a feeling taking him to Ameiko first would not be good. At least with the guard he'll wait in a cell for trial.

Faeli nodded as she considered their way forward through this. Yep. The guard was best.

Ameiko looks up from behind the bar when the heroes enter. She had been chatting with her staff who all look very relieved that their boss and friend had been saved. Ameiko's face has a haunted look on it full of emotions as she gestures for the heroes to come forward.

"I just wanted to thank you for saving me. I...I don't even know how to handle what has happened. I saw...I saw what my brother did to my father and it still seems surreal to me, like I'm going to wake up from this at any point. My father wasn't always the easiest to get along with but this whole thing is just crazy to me. My own brother...tried to kill me. Sacrifice me to some dark god or something even. Or...well something. I suppose I should be lucky he didn't just..."

She pauses as the sight of her father frozen in melted glass crosses her memory and she chokes up a little.

"I just don't understand how he could have gotten to this point. I haven't been close to my brother in years but now...I feel like maybe I've never known him if he was capable of doing this. Working with goblins? Killing our father? Burning down Sandpoint? It's...it's crazy. I...I just don't even understand."

She starts to sob briefly but takes a deep breath and steadies herself, wiping a tear away with the corner of her sleeve.

"It feels like I lost my father and my brother today. I think I will need some time to handle this."

"He has a lot of crimes on his head. With the sheriff out of town, I wanted to give you a chance to question him before he turned him to the guards. Are you up for it, Ameiko?" Tristen was rather straightforward with his intentions.

Arialis walks over and gently hugs Ameiko. "I know how you feel. Losing your father and brother, no matter the way you lose them, can be hard. I lost my father all to recently, and my brother is missing. That's why I came here. So I understand your pain more than any." She said softly. It was the first time the mysterious elf ever told anyone anything about her past, and showed a compassionate tender side to boot. "We will help you through this, and bring the one's that were working with your brother to justice. I promise."

Ameiko shook her head at Tristen's offer.

"I don't know if there is anything he can tell me that would make any difference. He ranted and raved at me while I was tied up. Just because I know what his reasons are doesn't mean they make any sense, or that it fixes anything. I am worried about Sandpoint though. He mentioned time and time again about a cleansing fire that would sweep over it and that the recent attacks were just a taste of what is to come."

She paused, her gaze sweeping across the crowded bar and inn where the other patrons were chatting and enjoying their food and drink.

"I hope it was just the ranting of a lunatic but if the goblin tribes are unifying...he might not be telling the truth. Didn't the Shayliss say that there were different goblin tribes that attacked us before? If they are joining forces...well one goblin tribe is bad but four or five of them? Combined with a focused purpose?"

She paused, not even trying to finish the thought as a shudder ran down her back.

"Tell me it's all bullshit. That he is just insane and none of it is remotely true..."

"Tsuto's threats to Sandpoint shouldn't be taken lightly. After we drop him off at the guards, we should find Shalelu and seek her advice about the goblins. Having a goblin threat is one thing, but several goblin tribes that's another."

"With Sheriff Hemlock away from the town right now, I think that we should make sure that Sandpoint is protected." Tristen checked Tsuto's bonds before he turned to the others. "Are you all going to join me as I turn Tsuto to the guards?"
