The intended play style here is to do one adventure per magus per year.

Each Adventure should have 1 Magus and 1 Companion (hence the rule against being your own magus' companion) and a number of grogs played by other PC's.

The logic there is to keep the "Party" small so that no one is waiting for 6 other people to post. You have one other PC who is following your lead and I don't have to feel bad about taking control of a Grog.

IDEALLY this will mean that if people drop without notice the other players probably won't notice.
