GM Announcement: I'm going on vacation in a couple of days. I'll be gone for about 1 week which means I may not be posting for a while. Just FYI for anyone visiting this game or still building their characters.

Nice to be here! I of course am interested in exploring the mechanics of the game as much as my character explores the mechanics of the universe itself!

My character has come a long way from fixing relic Xboxes to working on starships! If I read the skills right he should also be able to fix things like comms devices, magic wands that have gone on the fritz, and advanced chemistry homework.

Mechanics will fix technology-based items but Mysticism will fix magical items.

If you have both Cipher (renamed from Computers) and Mechanics, you can fix most machines both hi-tech and low-tech.
If you also have Piloting and Physics, you can operate most of them as well.

Alchemy also helps as it allows you to create substances like glue, lubricant, fuel, food, etc.

Okay, looks like we have two mechanics/science people aboard. Good. Every starship needs at least one and preferably two.

Next we're going to need:

  • Doctor/healer
  • Leader/face
  • Tank/warrior
  • Striker/assassin/rogue/scout/infiltrator

I'll grow into the last set as a secondary! Mechanics scamper about in small spaces. Infiltrator suits well, but that will take a few levels to get up and running... Or I can shift over to infiltrator and pick up some of the mechanic skill later. Party have preferences?

Changed skills and motivation... He still wants the best ship ever but doesn't hope to build it anymore... He embraces the art of burglary and while he hates fighting- he won't have to beat himself up about beating other people up.

Street urchin(infiltrator) with room to grow. Might be a decent pilot but Joc might be better suited naturally.
