"Grandma and I went camping and I fell into the river trying to pee behind a bush and and got swept downstream a few miles and found it at the bottom of the lake I washed up in." She answered.

"Well...that was a very profitable pee," Clay replied. "That seems like a big gift for me, but...thank you!" He put on the necklace to see if it fit him. "So...where to?"

"The carnival" she said and wrapped arms around his and guided him towards the park with a smile.

Clay and Meru-La spent the next few hours touring about the carnival trying out various rides like the roller coaster, the ferris wheel, the haunted house, and more. This was definitely feeling less like a friendly outing for his birthday and more like a birthday date. Not that he disliked feeling that way. Meru-La was his closest friend and he truly did care for her. But going past that? He was worried he might repel her away. But she was seeming to be extra touchy and friendly with him...and he reciprocated in his own way. Was it...going to end with like a kiss or something?

He tried not to think too hard on it as they sat at a table and had some ice cream together as kids and adults strolled about. "Ok...ditching was the best call you ever made," Clay joked as he took a bit of his strawberry and chocolate ice cream.

A couple of men in armored uniforms approached the two of them one looking at a beeping wrist watch and looked up and Clay. " Hand over your necklace. It's capsule corps property" he said flatly.

"The hell it is I found that Dragonball fair and square and I'm not letting you take his birthday gift " she said moving in front of him defensively.

Clay looked to Meru-La nervously, set down his ice cream, put the ball necklace in his pocket, and stood up to face the Capsule Corps security. "Hey, look," Clay said trying to diffuse the situation. If this is about ditching, I'll come back. Let's just calm down."

"We don't have time for this. " The second one said and shot her in the chest. The first guy looked annoyed. "That was unnecessary. Management will be pissed if you killed another worker." He said and then turned and hit clay with an uppercut and the second guy pointed his gun at Clay. "The hell did I just say!" He grabbed the gun away. " Get the damn Dragonball and grab the girl's body R&D have been needing Teenage bodies." He said turning away.

Clay was too dumbstruck seeing Meru-La get shot to even register the pain of the uppercut properly. Time seemed to freeze as he looked to see the guards leave. Anger...for the first time in a long time, swelled in him. "You bastard!" He yelled, grabbing a bottle and throwing it at the facemask of the guard who shot Meru-La as he charged at them.

"Hmm strong kid." Said the first guy as the shooter got attacked by the stranger after Jerry took a few heavy blows and things seemed desperate he pistol whipped the feral young man in the back of the head. As Jerry crab walked away from him.

The last thing Clay recalled was wailing on the guard before the other pistol whipped him...and then he blacked out...

Clay stirred awake in the middle of the forest, not sure how he got there or what happened to...

He checked his side to see Meru-La...dead. Her body lifeless as the two of them had been dumped carelessly out of the way. Clay tried to reach for her, but he felt weak and bruised. So all he could do was sob to himself. This was supposed to just be a nice day. And now she was dead...and he could feel that the Capsule Corp security had stolen her gift.

It was as he sobbed and glanced up at the night sky that things then changed...he had always been warned not to look at the night sky. Specifically, never to look at a full moon. He never knew why he shouldn't have. But as he saw the full moon overhead, his sorrow suddenly washed away. And all he could feel was...seething animalistic rage!

Clay's body shook and expanded as fur began to grow all over. His face deformed as he snarled and growled, and his limbs altered to be longer with sharpened pawed claws. He grew to be about fifty feet tall as he stood onto his now pawed feet, resembling a wolf-man more than a person. He roared loudly and started stomping his way through the forest towards the village, his now simplistic animal brain wanting to hurt whoever he thought killed Meru-La...

"Oh this isn't good this isn't good at all Yamcha. I know you're good with wolves but do you think you can handle that?" Puar asked.

"You saw him growing, Paur," Yamcha said, still getting used to his younger, limited body. "And it's a full moon. That's gotta be a Goku situation." He had no idea how if that was true, but...there were no other options. That thing looked like it was going to attack that village. "Get his attention, Paur. I gotta cut that tail." He ran ahead, thinking of a way to cut the tail.

Puar glided ahead. "Well at least I get to be useful as more than a therapist this time." She said turning into a giant cat panther and tackling the wolf before leaping away from it hissing.

Clay turned and roared at the large panther, swiping at it with his lanky arms and claws.

Yamcha tried to generate ki in his hands, but nothing was happening. He couldn't do a Kienzan like Krillin. How did they do this the first time?

Oh yeah! Yamcha climbed up the trees, hoping to stun the beast with an attack he knows before going to the new plan. He was actually kind of excited to pull out this golden oldie. "WOOOOOLF...." He leapt into the air with his hands in position. "FAAAANG!" The creature turned to his direction as Yamcha flew towards his head. "FIST!" He struck the beast on the top of the head, causing it to roar and stumble about, knocking over some trees around it.

"Paur!" He shouted extending a hand. "Turn into a sword!"

She leapt at Yamcha and turned into a sword in mid air. Thank goodness she was good at shapeshifting. Luckily Yamcha had practiced with Trunks before he left.

The giant wolfman swung wildly above its head, prompting Yamcha to leap backwards to dodge with his trajectory perfect to fall towards the tail. Please don't miss, he thought in his head as he yelled and swung wildly, slicing through the base of the tail with a fell swoop.

Clay grunted, feeling his surge of energy suddenly sap out of him as his body convulsed. Soon he started to shrink, his body reforming back to his human form, before reaching his original shape and collapsing, naked, onto the ground.

Yamcha grabbed onto a branch, swung around, and landed on the ground as he saw the wolfman shrink back into a human being. "Phew!" He said letting go of Paur so she could transform back. "Guess I guessed correctly on that one."

"Yeah it's kinda like Goku and...." She went to the naked unconscious guy turning into Goku lifted him by the tail as the giant tail Yamcha cut off disappeared"...this is different right?"

"Well, he wasn't a giant monkey, so yeah," Yamcha said rubbing his chin as the tail grew back. "A little different." He helped carry the young teenager and looked around. "Where do you think we are exactly?" He asked Paur. "I mean, it looks like Earth, but..." He looked at his younger hands.

"You go get him dressed I think you got a spare gi in your bag I'll go look around." She turned into a hawk and flew off.

Yamcha nodded and found where he stashed his bag before the fight. He didn't know what to expect when he made that wish, but this certainly would be the start of something big. All he knew was this kid probably needed a guy like him...just like Goku did years ago.

"So this is where you deposited the two of them who found the Dragonball I tasked you with finding?" The old man said. " Yes sir" Jerry said. "Take that damn helmet I can barely understand you." He said and Jerry hurried to take it off his mess of shaggy brown hair and scruffy beard blown by the breeze. "I see one girl body and one not a body." The old man said. " Sir I swear this is where we left them both!" He exclaimed. The old man sighed. "Just check to make sure the girl is dead with how you failed me already." He ordered and Jerry rushed over kneeling down and checking her pulse. "She's " Jerry started but was cut off by a little pop as blood bone and meat splashed across the girl's face. "And now there's two bodies..." He tossed down a cold storage container."Lieutenant Bolt. Secure the girl's body and bring her to the R&D department." He said walking over and taking out a handkerchief and wiping off the girl's face carefully. Before turning away and heading back to the city.
