Clay woke up groggily, seeing a large expanse of sky in the distance. Ok...so he was still on the tower. He rolled over to see if those animals were still there...

"Hello!" Came a high pitched voice similar to Puar's. As a head popped up inches in front of him.

Clay jumped startled to his feet...and then all the pain rushed through his body at once, causing him to collapse back down, wincing and groaning as he looked to the rabbit head. "Who...what?" He asked.

" here you go " she put a white fruit in his hand whiter than snow or seafoam. " Eat up.' she encouraged.

Clay looked at the fruit curiously. "...is this...a Kaizu?"

"Lavender told you about it? Sweet girl. She should visit more" Doki said.

Clay looked to the fruit, so white that it was nearly blinding, and took a bite. And...it was DELICIOUS. He took another bite and then lapped up the rest. His body suddenly felt like it had a surge of strength and energy as he propelled himself up to his feet. He flexed his muscles, feeling them suddenly bulge more than before. "Whoa!" Clay said.

"You had one too, huh?" Yamcha said looking over to Clay as he and Puar were back on their feet. "Tastes better than a senzu bean." He looked over to the rabbit head. "So uh...who are you?"

"I'm Doki the gardener. My husband Nabe is tending the fruit because he lost our bet. We're the mid station to the guardian of earth. But if you go back up there you're getting an express trip down if you don't have permission." She explained.

That triggered some memories with Yamcha, so he took their word on that. “Definitely a Kami tower,” he noted. “Lavender sent us up here to get some extra help training with Master Wilford. I’m Yamcha. This is Puar and Clay.”

“Do you have any additional tips or training to help us?” Clay said getting straight to the point.

"Yeah. I put your whole uniform on you while you were sleeping. And after eating the fruit you don't even notice it." She said.

Clay looked down. Sure enough, he was standing upright in that silly looking butler outfit without much struggle. “Whoa…” He said. It was still a bit cumbersome to move in, but the fact he was able to stand at all was impressive.

"A bit of a cheat but I consider it to be..... Speeding up your training regimen. " She explained smiling.

“Hey, whatever helps,” Yamcha said. “Hm…I wonder…” Yamcha extended his arm and used his opposite hand to grasp the wrist. If the Kaizu gave them a power boost, maybe it gave an energy boost too. He focused his energy towards his hand and grit his teeth. Come on…he thought to himself grunting. With enough focus, spirit energy crackled from his palms and light formed around the fingers. That’s it, come on. And then the ball formed floating above his palm!

“Ha ha ha!” Yamcha laughed excitedly. “Puar, I think I—“

And the ball exploded, knocking him flat on his butt. Well…that was brief.

"Wow Yamcha you almost had it. If you keep practicing you could get it again." She encouraged him.

"Whoa!" Clay said at the laser ball display he saw. "What's that?"

Yamcha groaned and wiped off some soot as he stood up. "It's kind of hard to explain simply," he said. "It's sort of both spirit energy and what we call ki. Both a manifestation of your soul's power and the ability to manipulate physical energy around you. What I just did is called a Spirit Ball. Now if I was at full power, I could show you some proper ki moves. Maybe even the Kamahameha."

"The wha-di-wha-ee-what?" Clay asked confused.

"Sorry, I know," Yamcha noted. "Can't just dump other universe stuff like that onto you without context. That's on me." He looked to the rabbit. "Do we need to speak to your husband too?"

"Need to?" She asked.

Yamcha paused. “…guess not then,” he said. “Well…should we make our way back down?” He asked the gang.

"that would probably be best" said Master Wilford coming from behind the curtain leading into the fruit tree room drinking a nice cup of tea

“Master!” Clay said getting to attention to give some kind of rationale…then sighed. “Look, we just wanted some help to keep up with the training. I’m sorry if this was against your wishes,” he said bowing.
