Jaabir:
Alright, so, Jaabir rolled very poorly on his rat gathering attempt, so the Attune part of his post didn't come to pass. Yet, atleast. His attempt to gather the rats led to a... well, it ended up disastrously.
Starting Position was Risky, searching for rats would bring him to the worst parts of town and has a chance to attract suspicion.
Starting Effect was Standard, there's bound to be plenty of rats here in Town, just that it's not trivial to gather enough of them.
I assume that Jaabir didn't trade Position for Effect, so it stays the same.
Jaabir's search for vermin led him to the worst places in town, dark alleys, trash heaps and anywhere else that rats were bound to be. He hadn't managed to find any rats that wouldn't flee long before his approach and seemed to have overlooked whatever rat caracasses there were around. After quite a long time, he finally managed to find what seemed to be a dead rat, yet the creature he thought to be dead was not quite so. Upon grasping it, the not quite dead rat suddenly sprang to life and very painfully bit Jaabir on his finger before scurrying off. While analyzing the damage the rat did, Jaabir didn't realize that this was the least of his problems.
"What the hell are you doin' here on our turf." he heard behind him. Being unfamiliar with the town, he had wandered somewhere he shouldn't during his search for rats. This dark alleyway he was in was apparently taken as a 'turf' by a gang of three rough-looking men. "How 'bout we teach him a lesson he won't forget." another one of the men suggests and the other two nod in agreement.
They smelled of sweat, rum and tobacco. Jaabir could notice the sharp blades behind their waists, but for now, they advanced upon Jaabir with only their fists.
Now, this isn't the final version of this scene, just the Worst Case Scenario. You can try to Resist the consequences, which will change what happened, at the cost of Stress for you.
So, you didn't really manage to find any suitable rat caracasses due to your roll. In addition, it resulted in two consequences:
Consequence 1: Rat Bite on Finger (Level 1 harm) - Choosing to resist this particular consequence will mean that you suffer no harm. Effectively as if it didn't happen.
Consequence 2: Being Ambushed By Thugs (Complication) - Choosing to resist this particular consequence wouldn't completely remove it. The thugs would still be close and thinking that someone might be encroaching on their turf, but wouldn't see you yet and neither would they have you surrounded. So you'd have the opportunity to attempt to, say, slip away unnoticed or just run away instead of starting out being encircled by them (maning, your starting Position in that situation and probably also Effect would be better).
For each Consequence you choose to resist, you will have to make a separate Resistance roll. For the Rat Bite, you resist with Prowess. For the Ambush, you resist with Insight. Each time your Resist a consequence, you gain 6 stress minus the result of your resistance roll. If you get a Critical on a Resistance roll, you instead clear 1 Stress.
