I had a sudden event pop up for mid June which is requiring a lot of work on my part. As an aside June 19-July 3 I have a chance of not being available but that is only a tiny chance.

@Party Two... So, I bought the Seeds of Wars player's handbook pdf, and I'm hoping this will be a brief bit of in-world interaction because... um, diplomacy! Yeah. And ancient aliens. I mean, Sky Gods. Yeah.

I wish I could slay those guys and either hijack the ship, or get the Brass Cat patrons into another boat, but nah. It's way too early for that level of shenanigans. And I'd like to make it to level 2 lol.

:-D ... ... ... Dammit.

Well we got no clue why they are arrested if they are. Maybe they work on the ship. I really doubt it. And why is the brightwater person on her ship and not trying to free the audiance unless she doesn't care.

The plot thickens....

Hey at least the tavern patrons werent slaughtered on the spot. Honorable on our part, for sure.

Hopefully accepting the Brightwater CA$H M0NEY won't make us guilty by association, and accessory to crimes against the monarchy.

My problem is no face to have expressions, no shoulders to shrug, etc. Not even blood for blushing. If he does have reactions, no one knows how to read them, so I pretty much stand there silently emoting all over the place while no one notices.

But I'm there folks. Possibly forgotten, but not gone.

We will find a way to highlight your character more. One thing I was thinking about what how a number of the plasmoid shown in SJ are fairly closely mimicking humanoid form when they want to. You can shrug 12 shoulder at once if you want. We will figure it out.

And as notice for everyone. I am leaving for the weekend so I won’t see posts until from 4:30 EST Friday until early afternoon EST Sunday.

That is one of the reasons I wanted to have a Shield of Expression for a warforged character I am playing. Helps out quite a bit in being able to RP more. =)

[frustrated chaotic good keyboarding with lulz]

I see the 5e plasmoid image... But the description is not so limiting, so your D&D ooze player character could be as amorphous and expressive as the BattleZoo ancestry slime. Full face, fingers and toes, because the 5e description allows for spontaneous color changes and you can not only be a super dextrous ninja, you can wear accessories like anyone else, like earrings.

Yeah, a nakes plasmoid can squeeze through a 1-inch space, and whip a 10-foot limb with proficiency at Sleight of Hand. Great. ... ... ... A plasmoid is an ooze. Like a Pokemon Ditto? That can wear accessories. Like what, Venetian party masks? Goggles? Hijab veil? A distinguished smoking pipe? Earrings?

You might as well have your plasmoid cells conjure at least a basic facial structure. If a plasmoid wizard can handle spell components, you can have a face. And fingers and toes lol.

The views expressed here were worth less than a one imaginary gold piece, and are not to be taken for cereals. Dm please don' make rocks fallolol

Jaemys: Bastion?

Descalceus:
I'm using the SJ rules for the in Astral Adventurer's Guide and it disagrees with you on several if not all points.

First off, it makes a head and makeshift hands. No mention of a face is made, and faces are more detailed than hands, so I'm thinking no face to speak of, certainly not one where he can ape Rigid expressions, if it would even occur to him.

And no, no spontaneous color changes. Color changing, per the rules in the book, anyhow, are done with dyes absorbed through the pores of the skin. In fact, that is the core building block of the character: Dyer, a plasmoid Esthetician and Alchemist that specializes in....wait for it...dyes for coloring plasmoid skin.

Ditto is a shapeshifter based on  the old silver age Legion of Super Heroes pet Proty. Plasmoids aren't all that at all. And "head" doesn't include ears, necessarily, so I doubt earrings. Again, more detail than makeshift hands.

And that leaves the final question: Why would he want a face? He doesn't need a place for a mouth, nose or eyes. All he needs is a head sticking out of his armor so he can see, and, if desired, wear a hat or helmet (which may come with the armor). Sure, there are reasons others might want him to have one, but he doesn't need one, and, even if it were possible, it would be a lot of (needless) work for him, and it would only show what he wanted you to see. Much as the Shield mentioned above does.

I actually have thought about my character, and read the description given in the book. Including it's limits.

Mind you, that doesn't preclude Alter Self or Disguise Self being used.

Well, Not Proty 1. There were two, and #2 was declared sentient, eventually..

At least according to wikipedia. It's been a long time, and I needed a memory refresh. I mostly remember him from the...well, never mind which decade.

Proty II was declared sentient, became a photographer, and read the Legion for filth for considering them a pet.

And, apparently, Lightning Lad was apparently really Proty I all along or something.
