Katie Salma'at Quinn is a tall, plain-looking woman with hazel eyes, tan skin, and dark hair. She is whipcord lean from her travels, and her hands bear the calluses of of a life of work. Aside from her height (which matches her brother's at 5'10"), there isn't much about her human appearance that stands out: neither strikingly beautiful nor shockingly ugly, she blends in well with the working-class masses thronging the cities and flowing out across the vast lands of the West.

To the typical European American she sounds Irish, but those of Irish heritage might recognize her accent as belonging to the Travellers -- Irish "Gypsies" who have immigrated to the Land of Opportunity in the last few decades.

Katie usually wears one of two outfits: either a woman's simple blouse and skirt combo or a man's shirt and pants outfit that she typically travels in. She carries a worn leather bag, half of a US Army Cavalry bag with a strap stitched on to let her wear it over her shoulder or across her body.

Katie is the quiet type, reserved until she's had the time to assess the situation and the people she's dealing with. In the middle of a conversation her eyes may track unseen movement or her head  may tilt as if listening to words whispered over her shoulder, but those aren't uncommon traits for one of her Tribe. If people interpret her distracted reserve as slow-wittedness, it'll be all the more surprising for them when she does speak.
