Eat the rat ? Ewww. Rats make good pets, or cat toys. Though some rats treat the cats as the toys.

Pretty much all of a rat's muscles are dark meat. They get a lot of exercise, which is what differentiates the dark meat legs from the white meat breasts in the mostly flightless chickens and completely flightless turkeys of supermarket familiarity.
