As a kid,   think Remo Williams was my second most watch movie... behind The Last Unicorn.

Might have to see if I can find somewhere.

What a shame.  Such a wonderful actor.  He knew his craft.

Great character actor. Lots of memorable parts. Very minor one in "Road Trip" but he was hilarious as the hard nosed dad of the geeky kid (played by DJ Qualls).

Thanks for the memories, and RIP.

RIP Fred Ward

I thought of him as just another character actor, until I saw him in The Right Stuff.  That opened my eyes, and when I rewatch his other stuff, I get glimpses of just how great an actor he really was.  Definitely didn't get the recognition he deserved, at least from Hollywood...fans were another matter, especially with Tremors.

Sad to hear he's gone.

As a kid,  Uncommon Valor was just such an awesome movie. Despite the cheesiness of the film, his character was very human.

RIP

Earl Bassett, in Tremors, and the stampede quote. Tremors is a nearly perfect movie, made on a tiny budget, but it worked and worked well.

I had to learn this sad fact from you guys here. He was a great one. Remo, Tremors, and Joe's dad in Joe Dirt. 'nuff said.
