What are some of your best DMing moments?

I haven't DM'ed in RPoL, but one time in a table top game the party was facing a TPK situation and a player opted to pray to his deity in the middle of the fray, rather than attack. (Flight was not really an option at that point.) I made a decision that I would have his deity hear him and intervene if he rolled 00. Which he did.

The party suffered some losses but avoided the TPK. I had the player make a few more rolls after the fact to determine side effects of the intervention. IIRC, he gained a point in WIS and CHA, lost a point in STR and CON. Also his hair turned all white and he developed a permanent 1000-yard stare.

I was part of a group DMing session involving three groups of adventurers ultimately competing against each other and seven DMs in all in an adventure well under the Broken Lands in Mystara involving Aztec-style stepped pyramids and ball games where the loser will be sacrificed... it was a great day with lots of gaming tension!

Lots of good one, I never liked being  DM/GM, but sadly, my friends thought i was good at it.

 But here? one of the best things happened when  , as i am wont to do, throw out  some extra descriptions, for colors and plot.

 one of the players ( space game)  weaved  two things together   to use  against the  enemy defenses...I never saw it  coming, and couldn't  think of a reason why it wouldn';t  work....after that adventure, another player took it to another leave  as being a somewhat 'normal' part of his load out.

 The reason i thought it was neat...because the player  didn't try to pull something out of their butt.. The thing was there,, and with logic  she put it together. I was  surprised. and most important, they did it on their own.

 I like when players  can surprise  me, i even have some stuff  set up on pure dice  rolls, so I don't even know what will happen  sometimes, and then we all play it out

I don't know how any DM/GM  can  run a forced march  Module .
