Question about the Amazon.com link

So, I wanted to buy stuff from Amazon, and (for once) I remembered to enter Amazon through the link on the front page of RPoL.  I hope that there wasn't anything else I had to do to make sure that RPoL gets a cut of my business.  Was there?

After I entered Amazon through that link, I searched and poked around Amazon quite a bit, including signing in to my (already-existing) account.  It made me concerned whether or not any step caused me to lose that status.  I looked at the email receipt, and there is no mention of RPoL.  Is there any way for me to check that you (we) actually got our cut?

Re: Question about the Amazon.com link

The easiest way is to get a browser extension that will make sure the affiliate ID is always included in the page when you're shopping.

For reference, it looks like RPoLs affiliate ID is: roleplayonl08-20

Re: Question about the Amazon.com link

I'm not sure what you mean by "all of the adds".

But what I'm referring to is something like "Amazing Affiliate Link" for Google Chrome, which makes sure you're always crediting a designated Affiliate (like RPoL) for qualifying items without having to manually check the URL to ensure you're supporting RPoL with your purchases.

Re: Question about the Amazon.com link

I shop at Amazon all the time. We can get a discount or bonus by going through the link here at RPoL?

Re: Question about the Amazon.com link

I think I figured out how I'm going to use this.  I keep a wishlist at Amazon.  When I want to buy something, I'll copy and paste the name of the item into the searchbox here.  That should take me to the item, and when I buy it, RPoL will get credit.

Re: Question about the Amazon.com link

In reply to Rich Kid (msg # 8):

No.  If you search for and purchase an eligible item through the Amazon search box on RPoL, then RPoL gets a percentage (I think it's something like 1%-4% depending on the item) of the price you paid, which goes towards helping fund the site.

That is really good to know (it has probably been mentioned before, and I just wasn't paying attention).

Once I have placed orders through RPoL's Amazon search box, is there a way to confirm that everything worked properly, and that RPoL was credited with its percentage of the order?

Thanks!

Question about the Amazon.com link

Is the Amazon link just absent on the responsive site for now?  Or is it supposed to be there and something's wrong on my end?

Question about the Amazon.com link

As follow up to Rathmun's question, I see the link to Amazon, but it is Amazon.com. Is there a way to use Amazon in other countries to give RPoL the credit too? (I.e., amazon.co.jp )

Question about the Amazon.com link

I believe RPoL uses an affiliate link.  I don't think it's registered as a non-profit organization, therefore the ending of the smile program shouldn't effect it.
