Hi!

I'm new to the site but old to RPGs. Hoping to get involved in a DnD 5e adventure.

I've been playing RPGs for a little over 10 years now. Started with DnD 3.5 and just kept going. Recently I've been playing a lot of rules light short games which are awesome, but I really want to get back to my roots.

Hi!

In reply to writertiger (msg # 1):

Welcome to RPoL, writertiger,

You should certainly be able to get to your roots here.  Thanks for introducing yourself - that's a proper start.  Some other forums to visit to get the feel of the place:

Help & FAQs: yeah, I know, every place wants you to visit these when you first start out, but there are good reasons for doing it here, more especially those sections dealing with Mature and Adult Content in games.

Community Chat:  this is the place to hang out and talk about whatever.  Kick back, read a few topics, and, by all means, start a new topic or post if you have something to say.

Wanted - Players:  this is a special advertising board for GMs that have games needing players.  You should find games that will interest you here.

Wanted - GMs:  another advertising board, this one is for players to advertise for a GM to run a game they want to play.

Game Proposals, Input, & Advice:  What it says on the tin, but perhaps a bit more, too.  Game proposals are topics where GMs who are considering running a game in a particular setting and/or with a particular set of rules can make a pitch for it to gauge interest before doing all the work to put it together.  Input & Advice are just that, namely, topics seeking opinions or advice from others about a particular situation or problem.

Where it can be a bit more is in Game Proposals, because expressing interest in playing a particular game is a great way to get in on the ground floor as a game is just starting up.

DnD seems to be quite popular here, as one would expect.  I'm sure you'll find something you enjoy soon enough.  See you around the forums.  Enjoy!
