The popup stickylist attempts to download the sound file instead of playing it. Anyone have a fix?

I'm not having this problem.  But I've noticed when browser start asking to download stuff instead of displaying it, it's usually because the cache or temp files are full.  Try clearing your cache and temp files and try again.  Alternatively, test with a different browser.

Not suggesting you switch browsers -- but it is a valid way to test whether it's a problem local to your device or a problem that is server-side.

Fair enough. I didn't hear the sound on firefox, but it also didn't try to download anything, so I probably just missed it.
