Im new to this comminty and looking for people to play with, I have tried a feewletterlarps and chattlarps but sadly that did not work well for me, since most knew eachother outside the game I was ignored and that was not really good for my selfesteem.

Im 49 years, single mother and dsncer.  Oh, english is not my first language so sometimes I really dont understand.

Im mostly into historicsl, fantasylaroing and would love some deep abd good playing, some romance or domething epic.

Howdy,  You  have entered the   best Post  Boards out there. Everything you need is  on whatever page you  are on...as a GM  you have mant tools, and  everyone can access  maps if they ..dice rollers..e ct. all on the  same page.

   There is a customizable search  engine on the main  page that may  help you find   a game.

 Player  wanted  thread,  has  GMs/DM looking for players  as well.

If you don't have any particular rule systems you prefer or want to try, it sounds like free form is up your alley. I'm not aware of anything more larp-like on the boards here. ladysharlyne, our freeform doyenne, should be along momentarily to give you the low down.

Greetings Las!  You’ve found the right place!  In general we are the friendliest bunch of roleplayers on the internet, in my humble opinion.

We have a myriad of bot system games like DnD if you prefer dice roll games.  Just use the friendly search engines dotted around.  The main one being on the main page.there you search by either a game name such as Pathhfinder, or put in freeform if you like creative writing and weaving a story with others.

Many on here English is not yhee first language and they get on quite well here.  Most games everyone helps each other out.  There should be no OOC (out of character) fighting and arguing.  IC you play your character according to how you feel them.  According to what the GM sets out for their game and it varies from game to game.

To find the games by a certain GM you might like then use the search engine and only put the GM NAME IN AND SEARCH.  You can leave both of these blank and just search by the type of genre you are interested in.

Watch the Wanted: players forum for GMs looking for players for their games.

Wanted: GMs forum,  If nothing is appealing to you then you can watch and post a short blurb about what type of game you are looking for and a GM might find you there and either tell you what they have that meets your description or create a game for you.

One major thing to remember is for this site you only need one login.  Not a million emails for every character you create.  As a matter of fact if you make two logins for this site you will be banned until you talk to the admin.

The community forums is the best place to ask questions and friendly players will always be willing to help.

To join any game you go to th game and click on request to join and a PM box will open where you can talk to the GM and work on the game character(s) with them.  You can play in as many games as you wish, you can play as many characters as the game will allow just do not take on so many you burn yourself out.

If you enter a game and its not suited to you then just PM the GM and say so and you’ll be removed. Please don’t just join a game then just disappear as it leaves the game and other players hanging and waiting.  It’s just rude.

Each game has its own rules that must be followed for that game.  These vary vastly from game to game but are there for your and the games benefit.  Just basically proper manners really.

So sorry you have had such bad gaming experiences.  The word Larp to me seems more about playing by email or in real life roleplay but it means various things to others?

You will find this an easy and fun community of all sorts of players.  As I said earlier most all are friendly and fun to write with!

I would suggest when looking at wanted players don’t judge a GM by games they had to delete or how many characters you see in the games cast list as few players might play many characters.  Also don’t let a large amount of posts put you off as it usually means that the game has been running for a long time andits always open to new players unless the indicater light say it is closed and not accepting players but you can still do a request to join and talk to that GM.

The description of the various indicator colours are on your main page also.

If you need some help ther is Rmail to speak to the admin or GMs or other players on a private basis not connected to any game.’

There is a two week waiting period from when your RPol login is accepted to when you can access Adult games.  That goes by faster than you think!

Welcome to RPOL, this site is pretty friendly and you can always find people to chat with you if you post stuff. Sorry to hear about your troubles, pending on what you are looking for, freeform games, or dungeons and dragons, sci fi etc. You can look around the site and even post a request for someone to run something for you.      Welcome to the best "Play by Post" site around. I hope you find a fun game where the people are friendly and patient. It can take a little time to get integrated into the game, but give it a litte time and effort and you should be welcomed in. As some others have said, there are lots of game systems to choose from, and even freeform games which are just like open storytelling.
