ready to start

Hi everyone. I wanted to ask you for assistance as a total newbie. I tried to take a look at games open to recruitment, but they all seem to have already started campaigns for some time.
Should I try asking for a RTJ anyway? Or would it be better to wait for the announcements in Wanted - players? I would not like to join games where there is no need for players or where experience is required which I currently do not have.

I take this opportunity to point out that I am open to D&D games and I spend a lot of time on the PC and I can post several times a day for more intense sessions.

see you in game!

Hi there, welcome to the site!

Oftentimes games will leave leave the "open to recruitment" flags up after the campaign has started. There are several possible reasons for it - for example the GM figuring the more the merrier and new characters can always be worked in, or they're looking for new players to take over or replace missing characters. Unfortunately, sometimes it can also mean they just forgot to take the flag off, especially if the game has stopped but they didn't delete it yet. Looking through the existing public threads, and most recent login times, can help you figure out what's going on.

If you want to get in on the ground floor of a game though, waiting for announcements in Wanted - Players is the way to go. Especially advertisements for new games rather than threads that have been bumped repeatedly.

I hope this helps! :)

Brosuke  has   the gist of it. Speaking for Myself. I bump  my ads  every week. You never know when you'll  lose a player, RL happens...some get bored  ect.

I look into games now and then when i think i'm intrested.,but never go much past  the  'checking out', because of certain rules or systems  i do not have, or like.

Very few  games  will be 'at the start'. all my games have been running from 11-12+ years. Players have   been in the games  for  a decade or more, and some are fresh out of the box. I run the  games   as an Ensemble  TV or movie, where people leave or join. It helps  with the RP saw you welcome  folks in and they  get into the flow of the game.

Other DMs/GMs  will recruit ahead of time  , as they  plan to go to the ;next adventures' or'next chapter'

Best advicei can give,  Is  got  to the RTJ. here what the   game runner  has to say, if you don't like it? you don't have to join. If you are unsure..you can always  leave ( making sure you send a PM to the  GM telling them so!). Doesn't cost you anything to take a look.
