Exalted 2.5 - Shelf Life

I have recently decided to end one of my ongoing exalted games, and noticed a pattern in when I have to do so: I tend to burn out on the game about the E4 300 XP mark, does anyone else find that there is a specific point where running exalted starts to become Un-Fun?

Around the time I need to open four pdfs or more at a time just to play. I hope Exalted 3rd edition by Onyx Publishing can fix that problem.

They ditched the mass combat rules and streamlined extras and groups of extras for normal combat. So that is at least a step in the right direction. I suppose War and War charms would be used to bolster your followers then.
