Is anyone up for running a Hackmaster campaign?

I'd be interesting in playing a 4e one.  Never got to play it, and I found even character creation a bit confusing.

I wouldn't mind giving this a try, myself.  The 4th edition player's guide has been sitting on my shelf for years.

Oh man, Hackmaster, especially the original (I think that was 4th Edition), was great and terrible! I only got to play a handful of times (mostly one-offs) but it was fun. I mean, you can die during character creation! lol

I'm in for playing if someone starts it up, but I don't have time to GM it.

If everyone is still interested, I wouldn't mind running a game.

Assuming 4th Edition rather than...Basic, I think it was called? Then yes, I'd be down to try.

Lol!  Death during character creation?  That’s a new one to me.

Oh yeah. There are random tables for a lot of things, even for training and such in character creation. Like a fighter can have an 'accident' during training and die. =)

Provided someone else is happy to GM, I'm happy to help/advise on char gen RAW. I know them pretty thoroughly.

I believe Bearshaman was interested in running, not sure if that's still the case.

Oh I am still interested, sorry about delays, but literally just got out of hospital after minor surgery, still trying to get my energy back, but wouldn't have to worry completely about homebrewing adventures for a bit, I have quite a few "friendly" modules from Hackmaster, and I can always take the 4 I have from Arduin Grimore that are very nice to the characters (Shouldn't be a TPK until 2nd or 3rd room...Bwah hah hah)

But seriously, I have both of those that I can use, translating the Arduin modules would be simple, take level of the module and add 5, i.e. Level 1-4 would be level 6 - 9.

I am the kind of GM who will fudge a few rolls here and there to save a character, plus I will allow you to Honor purge for survival, but that also goes the other direction, if the roller is being a pain towards villains, then a few of them might be able to survive a little better.

Mostly, looking to have fun, give me a couple of more days to be able to focus past the edge of the screen and I will post the game. If you have ideas for character types, history (Central Casting is great for making a history and family, if you have it, we can use the die roller and make your character a bit more..strange?) rmail me, and work it out, hoping for about post a week, maximum of 6 players.
