As the title says, plus some details:
I like Pathfinder with Spheres and Path of War, and I'd really like to try the latter as a player. Also, Tome of Battle for 3.5e is just as good. Generally speaking, I don't like vancian magic, so a few alternatives:
Fate (preferably Condensed, but Core is fine, too,
Accelerated)
Savage Worlds (SWADE is best, SWDE is ok)
D&D 3.5 with ToB, 5e with Spheres, PF1 with Spheres and PoW
I like social interaction in my games, both as a player and a GM, and progress bars instead of binary success / failure. I mostly like darker settings with low magic, though as a GM this is more flexible than as a player.
I'm not a fan of dozens of species running around, I prefer a setting with a few or even just one of them.
For example, Underdark with Deep Elves, original more traditionally Elven culture vs. insect-worshipping renegades as main antagonists (insect = drow in Elvish). This, again, is more flexible as a GM.
I like gradually emerging plots with lots of investigation driving the story.
I like hard choices, when PCs have to decide which course of action is the lesser evil, and there's no obvious pure white course and outcome.
Drop me a PM if you're interested.
PS: I love the
Hyborian Age.
