Soooo...I just found, by chance all my books for SR4 - and I have always wanted to run a game and give it my best shot at it.

The thing is, the timing is a tad off - I am looking at around 14 days to begin with before I can safely know if I can commit to running a game or not.

It is not much, but I do have the means and materials to do so.

Just to align, what is expected - a takeover of an old run, a new game, and what level of advancement are the group at? Fresh of the table or with some experience to their name?

We're happy to be patient, man. A new game is fine. Characters are made already. Mine is basically just the Combat Mage out of the 4e corebook with a different spell selection, for an idea on advancement. Chars are pretty fresh, consequently. A mission or two behind them, some knowledge of one another, like that.

Right, let's not beat around the bush any further.
I have never run Shadowrun 4ed via pnb; however I am keen on trying. The start of the week is busy for me, but rather than drawing it out - once ready I will create a game, and post the link here. I will make the application process swift, mainly focused on those who had a character first and foremost and align from there. If we have space left or similar, we can align on requirements for further players(current advancement etc).

All I ask, is patience, and one or a few of the rules can do my head in, and for this I implore what I have done in all other games I run, and that is shared community and open talks/discussions to align on how stuff should work and run.
I am huge on everyone having a fun time, ahead of heavy rules first so to speak, and will bend or adapt on the fly if needs be to make it more enjoyable for all involved.

So I am committed to making it fun, and try my hardest to achieve this.
Hold for updates, and if you can, verify character sheets etc are ready ahead of time, assuming possible.

I like world building. I like interactions and building npc's that matter and to make the world feel alive.
I hope you are in on the premise.
I am willing to do an awful lot to make it fun, and ask just in return that if you join, you try the same.

I'm a disabled army vet with time on my hands. I can run. I've never done a PbEM before so you will have to help me out here. I'm vaguely familiar with Shadowrun, I played it once. I prefer my cyberpunk without magic but I can try.

I've been a DM for 30 years, since D&D and Traveler.

In the initial encounter, you're hanging back at your crews nightclub in LA when a woman in a hospital gown rushes in. She looks around, sees the table with the Most Badass Players In The Room, and comes straight to your table. "You've got to help me, Ive been kidnapped by a cult! They need this..." she exclaims and hands one of you a necklace with an odd stone on it.

Right then, two guys in hospital orderly outfits, followed a Suit, walk into the bar. They look around and see her. "That's her!" and the suit is holding out a badge. "We're from the St. Mark's mental hospital, we're just taking her back" as they approach your table.

We can start the game at that point.

So how does this place actually work? Can someone give me tips? I'll check in daily.

The game sounds interesting I've never actually played shadowrun but been roleplaying both as player and dm for about ten years main Dnd pathfinder and more recently vampire masquerade and Dr who I am new to play by post so learning how things work still sorry if me posting here is a problem just wanted to say hi lol
