It started as just another day. The sun rose over the towering skyscrapers of New York City, casting its golden light on the bustling streets below. The Avengers were out saving the world, the Fantastic Four were exploring the unknown, Spider-man was swinging through the streets, and life carried on as usual. But then, in the blink of an eye, everything changed.
The superheroes were gone. One moment, they were fighting crime, thwarting evil, and protecting the innocent; the next, they had vanished without a trace. Panic and confusion spread like wildfire. The city, and indeed the world, was left reeling from the loss of its greatest defenders.
Rumors flew, conspiracy theories abounded, and the public was left grasping for answers. Without the likes of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to protect them, fear and uncertainty took hold. The police and local authorities were overwhelmed, struggling to maintain order in the face of escalating chaos.
In the wake of this unprecedented disappearance, new heroes emerged from the shadows. Some were ordinary people. Some had been using their extraordinary abilities already. Some came out of retirement to put on the cape one last time. They had one thing in common: a fierce determination to keep their city safe.
