Ironmound...The City

The  Group moves  through the day. The roads  are a wee bit  better then they have been used to. Gravel and  rocks have been pounded into the  roads to  keep them from being Muddy. Now  and then   they will see  a chain Gang of Prisoners using sledgehammers  and Large  wooden squares to  pound the rocks  flatter.

Now and then a Rider , in the Uniform of the Ironmound regulars  rides past. The markings on his saddlebags, highlights him as a Messenger.

Kree Calls the Outrifders  into the group so they can go though the Checkpoint together.

the Checkpoint stands about 100 yards  from the Main...land..gates. Two Booths are set up and   troopers check papers  and ask questions ..logging in  Merchants ect ect.

Kree said to the group,Once we get in the  Gates,  we head towards the   western river gate Garrison, that is were we can pick up the rest of out bounty.  they move closer as some  wagons begin to move forward,..Then we go to the Walk The Plank. You can stay there for a Gold a piece, for as long as we are in town...if you wish? You make seek other Lodgings, but beware..prices will be steeper, and..you will not be as protected  from our enemies. Once  we settles in..we have a Task at hand..to find the names of the traitors   that need to die...I have taken the Liberty..  he looks at Riku,...to call in a favor or two...I am hoping this  aids us...

Re: Ironmound...The City

Kree looks at Riku and for some it would make them feel like they were being pegged.  For Riku, it was key noted of his intentions.

On it, she said quickly.

Luthien paused a moment...

"I may be able to help you find them. Most every faith considers such treachery an evil...such darkness will stand out rather clearly. If you find suspects, I could help with that."

They can lie, but they won't be able to hide the dark taints on their souls.

Re: Ironmound...The City

Laithia becomes more and more tense the closer they get to Ironmound. Even Navarre senses his mistresses distress as the gates to the city loom up ahead. If Foril is riding with Laithia again, she will turn to him over her shoulder and invite him over. "I have a place here though it is not very big. You are welcome to stay with me if you life. I have an extra bed! Reedrick was able to get me the little place since I spent so much time here. It will be nice to see it again!" she says trying to keep her tone light and easy. In reality, she was afraid to go alone. She was not sure who or what she would find waiting for her and at least with someone else there it might not be so bad.

"I will be staying at my place Kree. It is right by the Walk the Plank. I should at least check in and straighten it up a bit. I sort of left in a hurry last time and I know the place is a disaster. Hopefully I will not bring any trouble upon us," her thoughts turn to Carwyn wondering how he faired with his vile wife Calise. She was sure it had not been good but she hoped their night of fun was worth whatever punishment he had received.

Re: Ironmound...The City

He tried to put reassuring hands on bith the woman and her horse, "How long were you gone from here Laithia?  If this woman was bitter and wealthy, she may have put some rather unpleasant warding or mundane traps on your place... expecting you to return sometime and not tell her or her husband.  I'd also suggest you be careful if you see the fellow.  She may also be using him as a method to catch you... even if he says they have broken up.  I just want you careful and safe until things have been investigated so we know just where -safe- is."

However she wanted to run her life... he would advise for safety.  He wanted to move relatively slowly with their relationship, if there was any more than friends... he didn't want them to get tripped up trying to run to the next levels.  It was lives after all, not a game that could be won sooner by rushing things.  "I'm more than happy to lend what magic I have, in degrees, to anyone else who needs it."
