Request #1: In at least one thread, only one of my characters is in the group for the thread, so the 'Post As' control has only a single choice. However, it still doesn't come up with that selected, and I usually have to hit 'Post Message' and get the error message that I need to select a character in order to post. If there's only one choice, it should go ahead and default to it. Request #2: I'd love to be able to pick my default character for both this purpose and for the dice roller. I realize, though, that this would be a database change and therefore is a much bigger ask.

It would seem likely that the GM hasn't included your pet in the same groups as your character - check with them (it may be deliberate if you've been separated from your pet or for some reason it would be inappropriate for you to post an action for your pet in there - eg radio communication channel (pet might make a noise but unlikely to hit the right buttons on the walkie talkie <grins>) The GM can set your character as the primary character ... again, check with them and ask them to do this first (via GM menu, Edit Players ... select player, click on Reorder button). Then you can click on Game Preferences and you can turn on the 'by default post as your primary character' option. Hopefully that covers what you need. :>

Fixed that (responsive only). Also fixed an situation where selecting the default character would default to the first alphabetical character instead.

I also checked the case where I have a default character selected for the game, but I go to post in a thread where only my non-default character has access. This correctly came up with the non-default character as the selected character (since it is the only choice, in this thread).

I suspect that your changes to the Reply behavior (which I LOVE, btw) had already been started before this fix. When you merged that in, you lost the change here. I have a screenshot, if you're interested. This message was last edited by the user at 17:07, Mon 15 Feb 2021.

I've tried to replicate this myself, and can't. Editing is working properly for me, but the affected player confirms that even after multiple relogs this morning, attempting to edit a post (regardless of which character initially wrote it) is automatically switching to their other character for the 'Post as' drop-down in the edit window. Both the affected player and I have 'By default, post as your primary character' turned to OFF in Game Preferences. All of our characters have access to the threads tested in. Both of us have relogged The only difference we can spot is that the affected player only has 2 characters, and I have multiple under my control. The affected player revealed they had this issue happen in another game on the 17th of Feb (coincidentally the day the latest fix went in), but had just chalked it up to user error at the time. In that game, they have more than 2 characters, but only 2 had access to the thread that contained the post they were editing. I suspect that I can't replicate it because I can't find a single thread anywhere where I only have exactly 2 characters with access to it Edit: Got the GM to make a thread that I only had two characters with access to. Can confirm that in that case, attempting to edit a post is forcing the 'Post As' to the other character automatically. This does -not- happen with posts in threads where more than 2 characters have access. This message was last edited by the user at 15:49, Fri 19 Feb 2021.

Edit: Nevermind, not fixed again. Not sure why it was working yesterday. This message was last edited by the user at 16:33, Wed 24 Feb 2021.

In a game in which I have two characters, one is set as my Primary character, I tested these scenarios. Highlighted are the two that weren't working before.
