GM Sample writing for your consideration:
"A smokey ash gently falls over the face of a slender and tall knight encased in bright silver armor, which had diminished to a dull shine by blood and scars of battle. His youthful and handsome face his green eyes stare down as his mind becomes twisted with a mournful truth. His face and armor had been dirtied by the ravages and bloodlust of battle. He gazed down in front of him at another knight who just moments ago had the same youthful eyes of glistening vibrancy. As the adrenaline slowly ebbed, his body started to feel heavy and involuntarily started to breathe raggedly. Images flooded his mind as mentally he tried to frantically process the last few moments that bled together as haze of violence. The unbearable ring of swords as they clashed with the screams and destruction of idealistic youth. He was all too conscious of the snap that had changed the world around him forever. Alexander forced himself to listen as others gave out unbearable gurgles and pleads unaware of their inevitable dead. He knew they were holding onto their fleeting dreams and lives as they slowly scurried and waited for squires and medics.

The young knight Alexnader again stared down at his friend but was suddenly jolted back to reality forcefully by an impact to the back of his head. This had forced his frantic eyes to settle and regain awareness along with what little composure as a deep and grim voice spoke out.

“Alexander!” Called out the deep familiar voice from behind him as he turned toward the voice and noticed his senior, Abel, a Knight Templar and commander of the battalions. Abel looked to Alexander and then to the empty vessel of a body in front of Alexander that left a noticable grimace on Abel's face.

Abel spoke calmly and thoughtfully to the young knight, Alexander, “It is impossible to understand what it's like until you’ve experienced it. That’s why we bring you with us before the trials.” He looked away from the body and met Alexander’s eyes. His lifeless eyes covered in the glimmer of his tears. “Serios was unlucky but his death was quick. That ballista bolt bore deep through his chest. Try to remember that in the world wind of battle many things can happen… ”

“Count yourself among the lucky, I wish I could speak more about Seiros but we don’t have that luxury,'' The senior knight let out one final sigh and gave Alexander a friendly tap on the shoulder as he walked away.

"Just remember him fondly and follow me. We have a new task for you. It appears that a portal has appeared in the forest west from the Spire fortress." Before Alexander left with Abel, he looked down at his friend one last time as he bent down to close his helm he whispered to the empty vessel, "Goodbye old friend."
