WANTED: Evil Ex Military Villain for a One-Shot Adventure

Had some great candidates inquire, and picked my Villain. Thanks for everyone's response!

Game is ADULT for Violence, language and Grit.

WHO AM I LOOKING FOR?

Okay, so I am looking for ONE mature, very well-written, non-munchkin person who's real life obligations will allow him or her to post with consistency about once a day, with typical lulls on weekends, or occasional REASONABLE RL absences. I need a player who can enjoy and excel in SOLO play (or at most DUO play) and who can be proactive and take initiative, drive the story, and provide entertaining roleplaying/writing.

WHAT WILL YOU PLAY?

You will be playing a modern day, ex-Military NCO or Officer from a United States military branch. You will be smart, efficient, discreet, and, above all, you are to be somewhat of a sociopath. An Evil person who can still charm people at a party. The role you are being recruited for is to play the Villain in my game's head Henchman, bodyguard and "fixer". I can give you suggested templates to use for skills, advantages, etc., if you like, or even a pre-generated Character, or if you prefer, as many do, you can build that character yourself. But your character is to be of NORMAL, non cinematic, non supernatural, non-fantasy power.

Hence, using Gurps rules, the character will start with 150 CP and no more than 20 disadvantages and/or quirks. Note, the disadvantages cannot be so disadvantageous or ridiculous as to render your detective unplayable.

You are recently discharged from a career in the military (whether honorably or less than honorably is up to you). You're only recently severed from your service, and struggling to find your way in the civilian world. You probably did some tours in Afghanistan or Iraq or other places. You're used to combat, and you're used to being a high ranked professional, respected and obeyed. Now you are just "Joe Civilian" no longer dodging bullets or IED's but trying to hold a desk job and paying your electric bill on time.

Because of your former background and special skills, a mysterious entity has sought you out with offers of lucrative pay to perform a daring, dangerous mission. An illegal mission.

WHY DO I NEED YOU?

A current game I'm running features a team of villains, who are in need of your expertise to obtain troops, weapons and munitions, to assist them in a military operation against a foreign government for the purposes of seizing power and money.

HOW LONG IS THE COMMITMENT?

Your game play is designed to handle one 'assignment'. Its not really all that super complicated of an assignment. It is possible your PC could tackle this whole thing in a few "game days" of play.  In Real Life, your adventure might not take a couple, few weeks, or a couple months, depending on how things go. But I HIGHLY DOUBT it will last longer than 3 months tops.

WHAT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO END YOUR CHARACTER'S PARTICIPATION AFTER THE MISSION IS OVER?

If this solo side adventure goes well, and you find you really enjoyed it, and I really enjoyed playing with you, and your character is able to show the main Villain that you can still offer him or her assistance in his/her underlying mission, there is the possibility, your PC will be taken on into the 'main' adventure. But I can't tell you what all that is about, as I want you to approach this blind -- he or she gets a call, is given an assignment, and he/she tries to accomplish it.  What happens after that remains to be seen. But for now, consider this a one-shot, short, fun adventure.

WHO WON'T LIKE PLAYING THIS GAME?

If you are the kind of Player who likes his/her PC to be a super badass and beat impossible odds often without breaking a sweat; who doesn't like gritty play where injuries hurt and don't heal overnight; where death is very real and the DM doesn't pull any punches; or the kind of Player who gets bored easily if he/she is in a lot of dialogue or non combat scenarios and who doesn't like problem solving, etc., this is probably NOT the game for you.

WHO SHOULD ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NOT SEND A RTJ?

Frosting Lickers.

Players who, on a whim, join games, send RTJ, produce one or two good, initial posts, then fade off to nothing, or barely post at all.  You know who you are. You pick up the cup cake, lick the frosting and then decide, "Nah" and toss the cup cake in the trash and go sample some more cupcakes. Please, please, please don't waste your time or mine!

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF THE DEAL?

You will get a relatively (new to RPOL) Gamemaster who puts her heart and soul into her adventure and tries very, very hard to give you a good roleplaying experience. However much you put into the game, you will get 10 fold out of me in return. That I promise.

HOW DO YOU JOIN?

Easy. Send me a RTJ.  Don't roll up a big character or stats, or skills, or anything.

For now, just give me:

(1) a sample of your writing from another game you're running or playing in.
(2) Your proposed character's full Name, gender, age, ethnicity, general appearance.
(3) let me know how many games you are currently playing in; and running.

Thanks for your time!

Sara

WANTED: Evil Ex Military Villain for a One-Shot Adventure

In reply to Girl Interrupted (msg # 1):

Drat, got to this too late, I would have been very into this.  Have an "evil" female character who might fit in, if your udder one fades away.  Really a morally gray person who does evil things from time to time out of circumstances, but doesn't sweat it.  If you need an extra, let me know...
