Necromunda - Play-by-post Edition

"Listen up scummer, so your old gang got kicked in the goolies and now you're running for your life with six new holes in your chest. It ain't all bad though. You've still got a pulse and a couple of chums and gear that followed you out of that meat grinder. In fact, today's your lucky day, you just don't know it yet."

The hive scummer leans closer and grins, his jagged mouth of missing and broken teeth looking like the maw of one of the big protein grinders Lux fell into in that scrap last week.

"You see, while everyone and their mothers are fighting over that shiny archeotech vault that opened up, a few of us stumbled on something shiny. No, it ain't a vault that will shower you with riches, but it also ain't the target of every scum with a pistol in a hundred miles either."

He leans back, savoring the moment to take a sip of beer, or what passed for it in a dive like this.

"When that vault opened up it shook loose a few tunnels as well. Tunnels nobody's been through in years. Turns out they lead to a shiny dome unclaimed by anyone. A ripe piece of fruit just sitting there for the taking. The call it Echerine's Fall. A whole sector that got the Enforcer boot a few years back. Enforcers used it as a training ground and lit up anyone who so much as looked at a stubber. After they ran of targets they pulled out and slowly the scum is filtering back in. You've got mines, you've got gambling dens, you've got settlements...the whole shebang just sitting there without anyone sitting on top of the pile."

He raised his eyebrows, waggling them a bit before sliding a hand across the table, palm up.

"Now I can show you to these tunnels and get you to this shiny new sector where you can set up and climb back on top once again but...eh...my memory ain't what it used to be, you know?"

His eyebrows waggled again and his eyes flicked back to his palm.

"So what's it gonna be, scummer? You gonna sit there leaking on the floor or are you going to go out there and make a name for yourself?"

Players will be running a gang in a narrative version of the 2018 Necromunda Dominion Campaign. Players will fight against the Arbiter and NPC armies while indirectly competing with one another through narration and overall high scores.

As this is primarily going to be Players vs. GM matches the scenarios chosen are going to be bonkers, with some fight scenarios morphing mid-battle as things change and develop.

Actual battles will be fought on 1" grid maps. Right now only Zone Mortalis (I.e. 2D maps) will be used but I am currently experimenting with 3D options to allow for more verticality and longer firing lines. That is a future project though.

I am expecting about 1 week rounds and 1 month battles, give or taking posting frequency. While posts won't be required every day the faster you can make your moves, the faster you can grab territory, put down rivals, and stake your claim as top dog of the sector.

Necromunda - Play-by-post Edition

For those unfamiliar, Necromunda is a miniatures game that is an offshoot from Warhammer 40k. Set in the same "crap scak grim dark" future, players take control of not mighty space marines or terrible aliens but instead 'ordinary' folks battling it out in the bowels of a gigantic megacity just to scrap together enough food and credits to survive.

It is based on small tactics and individual focus where you name your fighters, track them as they grow in experience, get wounded, and (likely) die only to be replaced by some new face brought onboard.

They recently released a new ruleset (N18) but this game is open for brand new players who know nothing about anything to experienced veterans looking to try a campaign from a different, more narrative focused, angle.
