Museum of Oddities
A gallery full of pictures which are really gateways to other worlds and times. Antique items and futuristic devices full of hidden magic and new technology - and equally hidden dangers. The owner of all this has recently vanished. Officially, he is dead but there are rumors he's escaped through one of the pictures. His legacy is not a good one. All his wealth and power came from those other worlds, but now something seems to collapse.
The curator of this private museum has tried to keep it hidden, but you, the relatives (or friends) of the collector, come to get their inheritance without knowing that in accepting the wealth and power, they also accept the responsibilities of righting all those wrongs the collector caused.
There will be travel to many different worlds, the collecting and redistributing of magical/technological items before the worlds get out of bounds - whatever that means. The curator does not seem to know, or maybe she just does not want to tell.
This is a freeform storytelling game, using only a d6 for times when for dramatic reasons it is more interesting to dice for the outcome. There will be NPCs you can use in writing without needing the GM's approval. Its objective is to go to strange places and collect stuff to help close the gaps between worlds, or redistribute the things stolen to gain power. There will be secrets and riddles and strangeness.
The game will have a lot on visuals, such as images for the paintings and artifacts, to spur imagination. There might also be maps. However, the game will be fully accessible to visually disabled people - I will describe everything as needed.
Let me know your character concepts when you apply. The museum's location is (currently) in London, but its location may change over time.
