His crimes became the most notorious cold cases in criminal history. Over two-thousand people were interviewed, three-hundred were investigated, and eighty were detained in the investigation of at least five murders attributed to a single killer between August and November, 1888, in the Whitechapel district of London’s East End. When it was all said and done, no one was formally charged for the crimes.
Now YOU can step back in time and solve criminal history’s most infamous unsolved mystery. If you're skillful you may even prevent some of the murders from happening.
Steampunk Jack is a black comedy, murder mystery with horror and action-adventure elements in the setting of Victorian England, where steampunk technology runs rampant. SJ is also a solo game. It's just you the player, and me the GM playing in a private thread. The game can accommodate many players, but each will be playing solo.
A simple set of rules will be used that are a trimmed down version of Chaosium’s d100 system. No experience with the rules is necessary. Everything is explained in the game rules thread. If you’re familiar with Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest or OpenQuest the rules will be very familiar to you.
